  • The reason why Martin mcguiness left the PIRA after 3years was he was basiclly a coward and afraid to die

  • I believe that money has bought a lot of people out. Seamus Costello, Tom Barry god bless you. They knew the true meaning of the proclamation of 1916.

  • McGuinness's denial that he has EVER been a member of the IRA is a mistake. (Adams too)

After all, he admitted - no, proclaimed - that he was an IRA member back in an Irish court in the 1970s.

Honesty would be a better policy.

  • @TerrySleeper McGuinness has acknowledged that he was a Volunteer - he did so at the Saville Inquiry

  • @RichardElden Yes, I don't agree with the EU personally because of many of its implications however first foreign occupation must be removed. This is the 21st century, almost all nations now have complete national sovereignty. Britain must remove its troops and its shoddy government from Ireland. After that happens, Irish people and an Irish government can deal with their monetary issues.

  • Any of you dissident supporters want to explain how exactly you're gonna achieve a United Ireland killing one cop every 20 years?

If the Provos could only get so far, how the fuck are some teenage hoods who like the idea of holding a gun gonna manage it?

  • @deeman1992 The provos started slowly and built up. These unfortunate killings should be seen as actions which must stop. And they will stop when the British totally withdraw from Ireland. Until that day the war will go on even if only a handful of people continue it. Even if no-one supports it, even if military successes are few. As Mcguinness said- we will never, never, never change! The war against british rule must continue untill freedom has been achieved!

  • orde must have long arms and small hands lol

  • Why this Unionist anger about NOT wearing mask?!?

    - Wearing mask is actyally forbidden in all countries arownd the world. But not for the Unionist ideals. It s the opposite. Mr McGuinness did just right to show himself and stand for his anti-ockupation fight!

  • He called republicans traitors standing beside the head of the british police in Ireland. You couldnt make it up.

  • They are the traitors. A United Ireland can only be gotten politically and Sinn Fein can do that.

  • Was Padraig Pearse a traitor when he fired at British soldiers? Was Sean South a traitor attacking the RUC?

  • Did Padraig Pearse have a political party representing his veiws in a fair government? Did Sean South? Had they already been fighting for thirty years and not able to get any further.

You don't need to tell me about what those men sacrificed.

  • Stormont is not a fair government. SF had a landslide victory in 1918 and set up our own government in 1919. On the same day it was formed Dan Breen shot 2 policemen. Was he a traitor for doing so?

  • Yes but the first Dail wasn't a recognised government internationally. The Dail's vote for a Republic would mean nothing that's why Dan Breen doing what he done was right. Now we've been given the oppurtunity to resolve this with no further bloodshed that is a blessing on it's own. Sinn Fein can Unite Ireland. If 30 years of fighting has brought us this far what makes you think that a group of unrepresentative thugs with limited weapons are going to Unite Ireland?

  • Breen was denounced by Sinn Fein members, the papers, the church etc etc for what he did. I never said the current IRA will unite Ireland, i said they were not traitors and SF have backtracked on that term.

  • Dan Breen, with all my respects for the man, did kill two fellow Irish men that day. He done what he thought was right, those who condemed him done what they thought was right. Same as with MacNeill and Pearse, same with Collin's and Dev. You can't pick a side and blame the other, when you look back at it.

But these dissidents actually want the British army back on the streets, they want a Republican party out of the North's government how can this not be the actions of a Traitor.

  • These men are also doing what they believe is right, the british police are already on our streets with 5000 brits to back them up. Of course they want stormont done away with how is that treachery?? When the british minister McGuiness joined the republican movement he was given a rule book.....

  • ....General army order no.4

No member of Oglaigh na hEireann may be a member of a political party which recognises the partionist institutions of government as soverign authorities of the Irish people.

You cant call people traitors for holding onto their principles or for disagreeing with a certain political party

  • The police on the streets have equal Ctholic percentages. They're nothing like the RUC bastards. Plus we're talking 30 years on since that book was written, the campaign can only get us this far. A United Ireland will only ever be gotten through democratic votes and if Sinn Fein received whole heartedly support from all Republican's it'd have the majority and it'd get us a United Ireland.

  • The RIC were mostly catholic, religion hasnt anything to do with it. The son of the man beaten to death on sunday said the police sat and watched it happen, just like what happened Robert Hamill.

  • Still you can't say the PSNI are as bad, biased and corrupt as the RUC. At the moment if they received full Republican support, inccidents like sunday's would be properly delt with.

"religion hasnt anything to do with it" true but only in the leadership, on the ground level as the sectarian killings prooved it was very much about religion.

Rather than critising and resorting to crude violence nowdays we should be encoraging SF and making sure they receive the support they deserve.

  • The PSNI are the RUC..........

  • No they are not. 3 Sinn Fein party members sit on the Northern Ireland Policing Board. The PSNI has a policy of recruiting 50% Catholic & 50% non-Catholic background, to avert the religious imbalance that existed towards the RUC from Nationalists and it was recommended by the Patten Report. The RUC were full of Loyalists, we've been given the bare bones of a police force we could make equal, but that'll never happen if dissidents keep shooting Catholics who've been brave enough to step up.

  • It is SF who once told us it doesnt matter how many catholics they employ it will be still 100% unionist and their job is to prop up partition and uphold foreign rule.

  • Notice one word used: 'once'. Thirty-or-so years later now, the armed campaign has got us this far, it's time to move forward peacefully and do what best we can until the eventual United Ireland.

  • If SF told you to put your head in the fire you would do it. The PSNI are 100% unionist and are a british police force.

  • Mature response. Sinn Fein want the best for the North with no further bloodshed, if they received full support (from some supposed 'republicans') a United Ireland would come alot quicker.

  • If they were a republican party i would support them. They are constitutional nationalists now accepting the right of the British to rule in our country. That isnt republicanism. (Read the Adams quote on my channel)

  • We've had to move forward the armed campaign got us to the table. If SF remained stubborn and didn't recognise whether we like it or not the north is part of the united kingdom, it'd never get the power and repesentation it has now.

And your quote from Adams was made in '84 it's '09 now Nationalism has had to adapt in order to survive and suceed.

  • theyre a british police force in our country . colonialism and imprialism . your advocating treason against your own country by supporting a british force which occu[pies it . Shame on you .

  • Whether we like it or not you have to accept the North IS British at this time and allowances have to be made for progress to be made. This 'British' police force as you call it happens to be the most fair police force that Nationalists have ever received.

  • will you please cop yourself on . Ireland is Ireland . The british occupation of any part of it is a criminal action , an aggressive act of war against the Irish nation . The PSNI are an armed force of British occupation in Ireland...are you even Irish ? you sound like an NIO minister circa 1977

  • After 30 years of an armed campaign we now have representation, party-sharing agreement and a fair police force It's amazing we've been given this. We can now get a United Ireland Democratically without any further bloodshed. You are a dissilusioned man and it's veiw points like yours that are slowing down progress, looking on your page it says you want to "stopping the New World Order in its tracks" you also seem to want to stop any progress towards a United Ireland from what you've said.

  • i think youd need to go back and read the 1916 proclamation . You sound just like John Redmond . What your promoting here is redmondism and aperversion of everything padraig pearse ever stood for . Read your proclamation and stop distorting what republicans have always stood for - any British parliament in Ireland , any British forces in Ireland are illegal and criminal . Britians structures in Ireland today are just as illegal as they were in 1916 . Your an apologist for British criminality

  • "i think youd need to go back and read the 1916 proclamation" How can you be so narrow minded. It was different times Irish Nationalism has too adapt to survive the coming century. Irish Nationalsim has taken so many different forms Daniel O'Connell once stated that he'd rather have all his works repealed than Ireland were to loose the monarchy. But any Irish Nationalist has the upmost respect for The Emancipator.

  • "stop distorting what republicans have always stood for" Irish Republicans have always been diverse there has never been set aims.

  • From its origin at the end of the eighteenth century until even now, it has been not so much a normal patriotic faith as an intellectual theory held by idealists who were trying, to make their theory materialize in practice. Inevitably they used many synthetic and unreal concepts as if they were facts. This is part of what you must except as a 21st Century Republican.

  • Don't try to tell me I don't understand what the men of '16 died for. The fact that I do understand is the reason that the peace over the North must be maintained, Ireland has lost enough sons and daughters for it to be thrown away by unrepresentative dissident bastards. As Collins said of the anglo-irish treaty "the freedom to achieve freedom" so must we veiw the GF Agreement and be thankful no more blood must be spilled.

  • The fact is I KNOW Irish history you've probably just watched 'Michael Collins' or 'the Devils own' and call yourself a Republican.

  • The set aim of Irish republicanism is and remains national sovereignty . Irish republicanism is a speratist ideology which refuses to grant one iota of legitmacy to British rule and British forces in Ireland . Your political position clearly stands outisde that definition .

  • I suggest you read The Green Flag by Robert Kee, you'll learn not to veiw the relationship between Ireland and England so narrowmindedly and you'll realise it's not all black and white.

  • Neither Wolfe Tone , Emmet Fintan Lawlor or the fenians , much less Pearse and Connolly had no respect forOConnell or his collaborating ilk and neither do I . The Collaborator is a much more apt title . I fear you know very little about Irish nationalism or republican seperatism . The attitude towards OConnell and Redmond has been very clearly stated by our patriots . As Connolly pointed out theres only 2 camps in Ireland , the British camp or the Irish one . OConnell was in the British one .

  • Stop living in the past and geat your head into the future of Irish Republicanism and trust me the 'Real IRA' have no future for Ireland other than back stepping the work done and bringing the Brits back on the street.

  • The loyalists will always be in Ireland, we're going to have to learn to live with them sooner or later. Whether in the United Kingdom or the eventual United Ireland we'll have to live together and that takes a long-time process of gradual concessions.

  • Continuing the bloodshed which couldn't possibly get us any further is futile. It took 6-or-so years to get Ireland the free state, after 30 more years of armed struggle we've been given power-sharing. It's amazing that Nationalists have even been regognised and accepted.

  • Mc Guinness speaks the truth. The only way forward is peacfull means. The armed struggle is over but the struggle for freedom goes on.Bombs and bullets will only delay our cause and allainet people against us.Support Sinn Fein and a United Ireland WILL come.TIOCFAIDH AR LA!.

  • what about santa and the tooth fairy . Will they be accomonaying it in 2016 ?

cop on to yourself . Its another sell out , another in a long line of sell outs . British rule has been accepted by sinn fein and now they say its an Irishmans duty to be a dirty stinking british informer , the lowest of the low .

Thats why Britian pays sinn fein over 2 million quid a year to sit in their British parliament at stormont

  • @paul6j7o you have my support ;)

  • @largoisthebest Thank you Comrade!..TAL!
