  • This is an ending you brought upon yourself.

  • Bears some resemblance to some of Phillip Glass's works.

  • I listen to these tracks when I read psychology books. :)

  • When is this played already?

  • @Witsarunemitea its played during episode 25 maybe 26 when misato tells shinji about instrumentality

  • @MasterShake43 Oh yeah thanks

  • @Witsarunemitea At the end of the original Episode 25.

"This is the ending you've brought upon yourself. You chose this fate."

  • This music just says, "SHIT'S ABOUT TO GET REAL, BITCHES!"

  • I can't believe I bought the first two CDs and not this, so much great music for one 26 episode series!!!!!!

  • another good theme

  • trophy30144 Will never die.

  • If I could have a soundtrack play wherever I went I'd have this song playing and I'd just walk dramatically everywhere.

  • Don't know what scene this is from, but its still awesome

  • @TheGoreGore its plays during the last scene of episode 25, even more contributing to easily one of the most epic scenes of the show in my opinion

  • @TheK117erAngel It was also used in Rebirth, during the scene where Misato is explaining truth behind Third Impact, the Angels, Adam, and Lilith to Shinji as they drive through the Eva Graveyard.

Unfortunately, it wasn't used in the final version of episode 25' Air.

Shame. I like this song, plus I thought it's use created a nice bridge between the TV episode and movie episode.

  • @PastShadow It was used at the end of the original episode 25

  • If ever there happened to be a naming contest to the most bizarre, yet meaningful music, Shiro Sagisu would win. How the hell do you come up with perfectly matching names like Infantile Dependence to a piece of music that requires no introduction or details yet suits Shinji like a glove on a hand? Damn...Beautiful.

  • @chocolatechoctaw a lot of the music in Evangelion is named after Freudian concepts.

  • (@@)

  • @bl4cKnWhit3

Yes. Kaworu was the final Angel. Then Gendo initiated Third Impact. All of that psychoanalysis stuff was just a part of the process of the entire human race undergoing Instrumentality as the barriers between people are broken down until everyone is one.

  • @RabidWeaselStudio and then stopping of instrumentallity by shinji (with the meaning exemplified in animation, breaking his shell, so that he could live with others (separate people)

  • Yes, they defeated the Angels, Kaworu was the last one, and the world went into Third Impact under humanity's terms. In Episodes 25 and 26 you get to see inside Shinji's head as he makes the ultimate decision whether to continue with Instrumentality, uniting the human race into one, or continue with our separate existences. He decides to remain separate ("I hate myself, but perhaps I could love myself.") This neurotic boy overcomes his Hedgehog's dilemma and chooses humanity.

  • it sounds like draculas castle or something

  • bella cancion se siente melancolia al esucharla

  • this sounds so evil and madness

  • They put this song when Shinji is inside the Eva 01 and he dont want to come back...

  • When I first heard this song , I just stayed with my eyes closed and my mouth open.....this should be the melody of heaven....

  • @Stefoserpent

This is a particular kind of madness.

This is not the man entering heaven but the man aware of the cruel truths of what heaven really is. This is that feeling of betrayal and regret, clawing at the walls and screaming for retribution.

This is the cow on the convayer-belt, greeted with the first sight of men with knives and machines - smelling of putrid insides and sounds of pain where they end her life and take her body apart like an old car.

    Only we're not cattle..

    ..Are we?

  • @osakanone I agree. The will to survive or drop dead at where you stand is ultimately your choice and so is the abilty to create the belief that we are loved or hated. The question is, do we go to heaven just because we are told it is good? You do it because you choose what heaven sounds like. Just like how you choose reality.

  • @Stefoserpent

So you want heaven to sound like an rpg?

  • @morgulseele Wie konntest du nur unter etwas niveauvollem laden?

  • Comment removed

  • Pure madness.

  • Im agree with you!!

  • if there was any song in the world that would put you in a streight jacket after listening to it for days and weeks........

    it would be this one.

  • damn what part of the show was this in

    is it the last episode????

  • it´s a little bit late, but the song is played in ep. 25. I look for the song a long time. =)
