Note how the brunette in the hallway flings her hair back to advertise that she's a happinin' 70's babe. Not to be outdone, the blonde walking next to her does the same about 2 seconds later.
I have to say, you had me there for a while (I did wonder at the Alpha Girls then debated whether Gerry Anderson had stolen a march on his 70s rivals). You're clearly a massive fan, illconprods, which can only lead us both to wonder what this show could have been without the catastrophic 2nd series.
"Year 2" of Space: 1999 was a traumatizing experience for a 10 year old back then. It was like going from an extremely trippy "high" to an all-time "low", without drugs. I was quite angry about the second season for years. Now I can finally laugh at the awful mess.
Brilliant! I laughed out loud. It really is so damning of the second season - probably deserved. The drawing of John Koenigs head on the Japanese titles is a stroke of genius. I'd love to see UFO parodied like this. 10/10.
