  • MATIAS PLAZA MTIAS

  • billy barty!

  • No matter how old I get (pushing 30), nor how sophisticated my film palette becomes, I still think this is one of the coolest damn openings ever. From that blowing wind sound to the Superman knock off theme, to me it’s brilliant. HE-MAN!

  • intro and music gud, but film blows. cud really do with a high budget second attempt.... cudnt be worse than TF2

  • @apex2000 You are incorrect. It is brilliant.

  • A lot of heman fans hate this movie, but it was ok. They are doing a remake in the summer of 2013. This will be around the time the Thundercats will come out. Keep in mind that superman and star wars was the only thing the producers could draw from during this time. He-man was unique in that its world was a mix of science fiction and fantasy.

  • JDK.., like Java Development Kit? Oh sorry, did I totally nerd-out there?

  • castle greyskull looks more like an indian ghetto here

  • great start to a film one of my favourites as a kid. and still love it today at 25 lol boss music

  • the commentary of this dvd is worth the price alone.

  • I like the scenery of Castle Greyskull. Its wonderful.

  • Music is so EPIC!!

  • Between the time when the oceans drank Atlantis, and the rise of the sons of Aryas, there was an age undreamed of. And unto this, Conan, destined to wear the jeweled crown of Aquilonia upon a troubled brow. It is I, his chronicler, who alone can tell thee of his saga. Let me tell you of the days of high adventure!

    Cue Superman theme...

  • @Hybris hahahahahahahaha so true!

  • fantastic castle

  • masters of the universe so rip off the superman theme

  • Hello everyone, this is JDK the uploaded of these videos. I've been getting request from people for me to upload the full movie. If someone wants to do that then that's totally cool, but I'm not. Reason being is this movie is only like $5, just go buy it. If enough people show interest then we might get something cool like the movie on Blu Ray or a 25th anniversy collection edition in 2012.

  • @JDK04281980 Why the fuck would they ever put this trash out on bluray? They should just remake the thing with a better cast and plot. And a better (less star wars-y) duel at the end. Oh, and no superman sounding music.

  • @TWHuey Given the track record of cartoon adaptations/remakes in the past ten years I have little faith that Hollywood could produce anything better than this.

  • @Fbueller129 Lmao lol u fool.

  • @JDK04281980 WHERE THE FUCK CAN I GET ONE FOR $5? I WANT ONE

  • @JDK04281980 sorry dude no one needs your full movie its free on the net already lol

  • The opening song reminds me way too much of the old Superman movies...

  • I love the Melody of the Intro. Anyone knows who is the artist?

  • Bill Conti

    ^_^

  • @Dresden886 -

Obviously the guy that copied the intro for Superman!

  • I always liked the series and the movie I think was an introduction to the later version. Does ny 1 have the movie in full here or on Veoh?

  • Brings back so many memories. One of my favorite scenes was when Courtney Cox got chased through her high school gymnasium by Skeletor's goons.

As a kid I found that so scary, lol.

  • I read that apparently they did intend the film to be set on grayskull but due to budget cuts they had to change it to earth to save money lol

I hope the new He-man film is better if it sees the light of day!

  • castle grayskull looks like a junkyard with a skull on it

  • It would of been alright, if they didnt go to freakin' Earth! A poor mans star wars, but still would of been fun.

  • Where's the rest of the credits?

  • actually it's more superman than star wars to me...

  • There is one fundamental mistake of the movie: to place character on Earth and to fail to reproduce the basic MOTU characters like Trap-jaw, Merman, Tri-klops. Stratos, Ram-man. They introduced instead some Skeletor Warriors that look just like Star Wars Troopers in black.

  • too starwar-ish !!!

  • yeah... they made skeletor as emperor or darth vader... i was very desapointed of this movie... the cartoon is still better than this movie

  • the movie at the time won best special

effects at some award show in the 80's

among 2 other awards in that year and

the effects was done by richard edlund

effects team that did ghostbusters and

fright night which also won awards for

  • It Kind Of Sucks That Battlecat Was Not In The Movie I Wish He Was That Would Of Been Badass.

  • Battlecat is in the script for the new movie slated for 2011. Frickin awesome!!

  • Langella's perfomance as Skeltor was easily the only redeemable thing about this movie. That being said, Meg Foster DID look every bit the part of Evil Lynn. However, even though Skeltor's costume looked good on him. I think everyone in set and costume design should have actually had to watch a bit of the cartoon before they designed the outfits. I mean I didn't expect an exact replica from the cartoon, but come on!! He-man's outfit looked NOTHING like the cartoon. I mean a cape, really bro?

  • Agreed here. Langella owned the part. He made a villainous character that was totally evil and badass.

  • I agree! Frank Langella was awesome! In fact, this take says a lot about the acting, considering there was barely a budget! I absolutely LOVE the intro in the movie (you could see what it 'would've' been if there was more money...). God-willing, we will see it done right SOON! :D

  • I saw this movie in theatres years ago when it came out. I hardly remember it that well. Mainly because I only saw it once. I'll have to see it again sometime just to refresh my memory.

  • I remember seeing this in the cinema.

I thought it was great and nagged my Dad to get me the Pannini sticker book. Sadddddddd!

  • I agree with the other comments - Frank Langella was simply magnificent as Skeletor!

  • @Lukas0472 flawless in my opinion

  • YEAH!

  • I loooooooooove this Movie. GREAT!! Thank u for uploading this intro!!

  • Coll matte painting.

  • I LOOOVE this movie!!! this intro gets me hyped!! Skeletor is awesome in this version
