HL2 on Xbox looks pretty impressive too from what I've seen.

Having a Pentium 3 processor at about 733 MHz, Nvidia 4200, and 64 MBs of memory at 200 MHz, sounds very limited but being so similar to PC hardware it could do ports of games that the other consoles didn't get.

I still wonder exactly how far about PS2/GC/Xbox were performance wise, because growing up we argued about it a LOT.

@Usul573 I'm still floored to this day of what Factor 5 was able to pull of graphically with Rogue Squadron II on the GameCube...AT LAUNCH! 60 FPS with full effects, especially with the Battle of Endor. The best looking console games are the ones developed from the ground up.

First thanks for the video, I often played doom 3 on my xbox 1 in 480p on my hdtv and looks great, I wonder if it is true that the xbox 360 to run the games of xbox1 upsacaling can do in the games to 720p, is this true? I knew also that the xbox360 is able to implement a better anti aliasing in games of xbox1, this is true, you know I mean?

@TheFred128 Yes is true, in fact the 360 can upscale the xbox 1 games up to 1080p and apply a better antialiasing, but this depend of the game, for example DOA3 look really great on the 360 almost as good as DOA4, but there are others than doesn't look so good or do not work at all. Don't know about doom 3

I have played the PC/Mac version of the game, and i am surprised how different it is! E.g. 1. The part where you come of the ship, it is a video (in the pc version you play it)

2. Added doors / changes to doors

3. Added hallways

4. They removed the canteen & restrooms! (and the monorail lift)

But it looks good, can't wait to see the rest and see what ID have done to the game

It seems areas of the game with a noticeable drop in framerate have been reduced to fixed camera video sequences, and the lighting and shadows have been cut down tremendously. I always wondered how such a powerful game could be ported to a system which doesn't even halfway meet the PC game's requirements, and I guess this is the result.

That's because with PC, RAM is shared throughout the entire system (for virus scans, viewing photos, playing games, etc.) But with Xbox, all RAM is put for gaming.

Lmao, I'm not trying to be rude here but playing an original xbox game on an xbox 360 and an hdtv doesn't really improve the graphics in any way other than making the image quality better.

When you compare an xbox game running on an xbox to one running on a 360, you'll notice that the textures, lighting, and so on and so forth remain the same. It just looks clearer on a 360 but not as clear as on a PC. On PC you can change the resolution to gain perfect image quality. The PC still wins.
