this one time on rideau, they arrested this old native man, even though hes the one who got junmped by like 5 somalians. he fucking kicked out the window in the first car, then got put in a second and kicked that one out too !
I'm glad they arrest some of the aggressive drunk fucks on Canada day. They cause problems and ruin it for the 99.9% of people who are there to have a good time.
For the first 18 seconds he was holding onto his stiffy thats why the police couldn't get his arms behind his back, when he eventually let go the police were blinded by spunk thats why he was so hard to restrain, case solved
Dude, NEVER disobey a police officer. When he says to put your hands behind your back you do it. If you don't, than you are resisting arrest and when resisting arrest, a police officer is entitled to do WHATEVER he has to to get you cuffed.
I remember this! Me and my friends were just calmly bmxing down the street wearing canada stuff when they were tackling some dude and we were like what the heck!?
the whole point is to just let them put handcuffs behind your back. thats all. if you think you shouldnt be arrested, you tell the judge in the morning not the police. they have no right to hear you,
Ottawa police are aloud to use violence against non violent people. If they interpret anything you say or do, even asking a question like "do I need to let you search me"? is justification for them to be physically aggressive with you. I learned this after having my arm bent around my back and forced upwards for asking If i had a choice in being searched. No physical resistance at all
Was the Canadian National Anthem be performed? It's my opininion, a very patriot person standing during the national anthem is the only reason a intelligent person might not to sit.
However, it's also my opinion, the srikes look to aggressive for the situation. Grapling is the technique I would recommend for that situation.
The officers with the yellow lines on the pants are RCMP officers, whereas the ones with the red bands on the hats are Ottawa Police service. Canada Day is one of those rare occasions where you actually see RCMP out performing front-line police work, most of their duties in the Ottawa area are limited to providing security for embassies, federal buildings, parliament hill, and traffic patrol on federal roadways.
I don't agree with the actions of the police in this video. Can you inform me as to what led up to this altercation with the police? Why was the man being arrested in the first place?
Public intox. Also IMO, the actions they used were perfectly just. Going through self defence training myself the knees and the punches are used as distractions to get the man to the ground.
Also, the description asks "why aren't police trained to deescalate?". According to the use of force, they could have used mace or their batons to control the man, but considering the crowd around, they probably decided not to because that would escalate the crowd making the situation worse.
@613TyleR93 - The problem with the methods used by law enforcement agencies against civilians is that: 1) they promote an escalation of violence; 2) the methods employed are solely intended to expedite the arrest and not to act in a way that maintains respect for the citizen; 3) the reason for the arrest and the risk assessment is subjective - an inexperienced officer can act rashly and use excessive force in situations where a more experienced officer would not.
resisting arrest is against the law, wtf does that person mean "HE DIDN'T DO ANYTHANG"
