@dmskhellas Not true. He started out with two other guys. But since they were more interested in their own ideas, Quorthon decided to break off and do things the way he wanted to. And I think his dad or something has to do with Black Mark. I think he was the one that went by "Boss" but I could be wrong about that.

I believe that this was the situation also in the first track ever recorded under the name of Bathory: The return of darkness and evil from Scandinavian Metal Atack compilation. He sad to an interview that quitar themes were recorded in his bathrooom!!!! Anyway from the Blood Fire Death album u can realise that session musicians take place not members. Boss is the owner of B.M. and his father!

ufficialmente però solo i Bathory possono essere considerati a pieno diritto black metal (e non NWOBHM) perchè Quorthon ha usato fin da subito lo screaming in tutte le canzoni.
