I wasn't referring to the truly disabled, like handicapped. There are three types of students who get LDs. One type is poor, another has a problem and the other type has a spoiled someone. I belong to the latter, but it backfired when I moved back to my mom's. You can't get rid of that dern label very easily either. It took me years. I'm so behind in thinking. Sorry. I didn't mean all of you with different children. We seem to get all the "help" as well. Shakes.
I like your ideas but I do not like the political (democrats vs. republicans) tone of your other videos. Turns me off from everything else you have said. You willingly overlook Biden's horrific policy for Obama's "passion for education." I hope Obama's "passion" will help. If this becomes a non-partisan (in reality not just name) movement then sign me on.
I'm sorry, Marilyn, but I have no confidence whatsoever in President-elect Obama, or his future administration. Any political leader who refuses repeatedly to protect our nation's unborn and newborn children will also fail to protect our disabled family members should it become politically correct to do so. We can only depend on God's provision, ultimately, but someone who believes that killing kids is okay doesn't fit that bill. So, "Yes, we can"...but WITHOUT Mr. Obama and his political kind!
Your should count your stars you have a mom this dedicated. You're opportunities are being limited by the very people who get paid to provide you with opportunity! Maybe back to basics-Capitalism. If the schools don't want to do it right,we should provide the interventions...fix them while they're young, when it's easier, and cheaper.Eliminate the special ed. fiasco in the schools. If they don't want the job, lets take it away. No false hope or false reports of educating kids. 'm in...yes I am!
Thank you, Marilyn Arons. You have provided valuable lessons for all parents advocating for our special children - on every issue, not only education. All parents should heed Marilyn's advice. We are all stakeholders.

Obama made fun of the special olympics. He doesn't care about kids who need special attention in school.

how about we stop experimenting on the same people and singling them out? It's okay, it all comes back to them in the end.
