If you're going for straight pipe It would have made more sense to have a single exit instead of splitting it to two pipes. Regardless the car would be louder if it had a true straight pipe. Sounds muffled still and doesn't backfire as much as a subaru with straight pipe. I've run my car many times with open downpipe and open mid pipe (no resonator) and this doesn't sound like that. All of the turbo boxer motors have a very similar sound (2.0 vs 2.5) so we would have sounded similar. The sound

I hate to say it the 5.0 is a nice car, some basic research proves it.

They both have their strengths in different types of tests but right now the 5.0 can turn better, go faster in a line and pretty much has the same 0-60 as the AWD STi. Also the STi is a rally inspired car not a rally car, 80 in rough dirt will destroy a stock STi pretty quick.
@aaronacj lol you will never see a mustang on top of a track day time. with a mustang you need someone to handle the car and know how to drive. the mustang can do a time in 2 minutes with a good driver, the STi can reach 2 minutes with an average driver. that's the difference. mustangs can't handle for shit, watch it on the track it slides to a good time while the STi handles beautifully in the corners. handling is not about time, handling is about composure of the car get that through your head

My buddy's built wrx has 100k miles on the drivetrain and it's still running strong, with that said these motors can take a beating...not too sure about the reliability of wrx trannys. Nice car man
no. flat 4's are fairly stout engines, only time you run in to problems is when you start adding stage 1,2, or 3 parts without getting them tuned to run with said parts. and by doing that you can lean them out or run rich and then they will blow. or running to high octane fuel as well.
@TheReaper1790 Stage 1 is a tune. So it's hard to add a stage 1 "Part" without the tune since it is a basic tune. Stage 2 on the other hand is a part (down-pipe w/ optional catback and tune). Anything above stage 2 is really a gaggle since 2 people might consider stage 3 different things. Most the time stage 3 at a min has and upgraded turbo with all supporting mods and tune.
It's got the invidia q300 but i deleted the mufflers, no bov, left the stock bpv on for warranty issues and if you put a bov on these you start messing with the air fuel ratios and you can lean it out and over time you can do damage to your injectors and so on. and not sure what you mean by overflowing the gas tank, it was just
back firing like a normal car does when youve got a little tiny bit of unburnt fuel that combusts in the exhaust. does it every now and then when I launch it at high rpm
Yea that's my car, got the Invidia q300, it sounded good but wasn't loud enough for my taste, saved the mufflers if I ever want to go back, so it still has the 3" mid pipe.
It's my buddies car. He bought the invidia<sp? cat back exhaust and didn't like the way it sounded (too quiet) so he took the muffler off. It truly sounds better in person.
