  • Good to see CDB hooking it =P

  • I would love to see the women have their own tour again.

  • Very unusual to see a center that still had wood lanes but again this was in 2001. Good luck finding a tenpin center today that still has wood lanes and if you do it is because it is either on the verge of going out of business or just dosen't have the bowlers necessary for the center to foot the cost of synthetics and that brings you back to my first reason. Even all my 20 tenpin centers and some of them 4 laners in Minnesota have synthetics and only my Mass. candlepin center is still wood.

  • @BIGGREENLEAF1 Actually AMF owns 2 centers near me that still has the old wood lanes in it. This is in 2012. Weird thing is that they installed new ball returns, displays, and redid other parts of the center when they bought both. However, AMF's biggest center near me did get the synthetics and the complete redo. Both houses have at least 36-42 lanes and are huge with leagues in my area.

  • @tommyboy6181 It is nice to still ee tenpin centers with wood lanes. There is nothing like the smell and sound of a wood lane with the only dis advantage to some degree they all sond and play slightly different than their neighbor wood lane and then there is is mininum $400 a lane to resurface to $125 a lane to screen and re-coat. For me it was simply a business decision to make all my current owned tenpin centers synthetic, and to leave the candlepin synthetic as the sport is dying real fast.
