Disagree with Aris...not everyone has an arcade near them...so NO not Fuck online......Arcades are a almost extinct breed so most gamers are not going to travel 300 hundred miles to play....the net code has improved BIG time...My Soul Calibur 5 Matches have been nearly spotless...
Well, here in Brazil there are just arcades with marvel vs capcom 1 and those crappy old games.
And yeah,I hate Online mode of tekken 6,you can't use strategy because nothing goes in the way you want.it's kinda disappointing but we have to get used to.
Okay, while Aris says "come to an arcade" he says this because they have Super Arcade in California. Now, that doesn't mean you have to go to an arcade specifically. What I mean is, there are plenty of players out there to start local gatherings, or scenes, using consoles. We have a couple of them here in Texas, so there's no reason they can't be started elsewhere. Go to Tekken Zaibatsu forums, look in the North America match finder section, and start finding local players.
This was a good set of videos. I'm an online player myself and I understand that the lag can be frustrating. However, I live in Toronto and it's pretty tough to find a T6 arcade cabinet. When I do, I play it immediately and end up just clearing the arcade mode. Only once I had someone challenge me. I don't know what it's like in California, but the point is that us online players can't just "go to an arcade" and expect to see Tekken or any Tekken players.
@WolfusMandrago agreed, not everyone has a local arcade to go to fight against another tekken enthusiast, since arcades are pretty much extinct outside of asian countries. I understand online mode does suck and you can't play at your full potential but for ppl who just are at the level just below those who actually compete, online mode is the next best thing without actually going to an arcade, maybe 25% of the time, i do fight against pretty descent level players.
I will kick Aris's ass I am a protege of blazinpeanut I will destroy him too bad my fat ps3 died 2 months ago I can't wait to I get a new slim model I am going to send Aris an invite and kick his ass with Lei Wulong! Aaaarghhh!
I play online on xbox but I hate it cuz people get away with really dumb stuff. U can't get any better cuz ur forced to play as scrubby as the people online. And the h8mail when u win is priceless.
@serialki11er They broke a good amount of throws, not every throw can be broken. By your logic if a baseball player doesn't hit every pitch, he sucks. I'll just chalk your comment up to pure idiocy, seeing that you can't muster up a valid response without twisting the meaning of my comment to suit your invalid response.
@DeezMcNuggetz After 16 throw fested games i'm pretty sure no more then 10 throws were broken between both players and some were possibley fluke.. thats a pretty shit average if ask me. loool why are you comparing baseball with online lag???
@DeezMcNuggetz when the ball is thrown does the person holding the bat randomly freeze? i say "throw breaks online are retarded" u disagree, u don't think there are, where is the twist?
u want to prove ur point give me your psn show me how its done. "Yo" if u can consistantly throw break i'll tape that shit. i'll give ya mad props. THROW BREAKS ONLINE THIS IS HOW ITS DONE bITCHs!! put it on youtube n let the world see it.
@italoven dude he said that because he couldnt react to shit online if aris didnt have gaint swing blazin peanut would be the better player online thats it
@italoven no he wasnt...blazin peanut played over 10,000 matches while aris doesn't play online, yet he can't even tech giant swings, the only advantage he has is that it's online and he's using a character people are't used to, if it was offline, the score wouldn't have been this close
@italoven And Aris wouldn't have needed GS if Lei didn't get so much free shit that only works online in addition to Aris having online experience. Online has flaws so the people who adapt best are better at it. Aris was the better online player period since he won in the end and the Lei didn't adapt to GS (which is fucking easy btw. He couldn't even tech it which is easy even online and he's obviously experienced at online).
@xOmniCloudx It's impossible to break a GS online, like any other throw. You either have to randomly mash 1 or randomly duck when you think a GS setup is coming.
@italoven youre retarded. aris doesnt play online. blazinpeanut is only good with lag. the fact that he didnt mash the techroll on giant swing, when hes playing online and is so experienced in laggy tekken, shows how much of a newb he is.
@payasoinfelize exactly my point, blazinpeanut has played over 12,000 matches, last time i faced him, so much more now. So he's definitely experienced in playing in online mode of t6, yet he can't even tech roll out of giant swings LOL, he just embarrassed himself on youtube. If its offline, he would have no chance at all against most experienced players.
@payasoinfeliz Did you not hear what they were talking about in the video? It's obvious that Blazinpeanut is still pretty good offline, he practiced with top players and went to MLG. It's not like he didn't tech any of the giant swings, in fact the first giant swing that caught him he teched. Even though Aris doesn't play online, it doesn't mean he won't be good at it.
@SirCheezey thats exactly what it means if you dont play online. online tekken is completely different. a lot of the shit aris was trying to do wouldnt work because he didnt expect the lag to fuck him over so badly. aris told him he sucked. and im sure would expect to beat him badly offline, without any lag holding him back.
@payasoinfeliz No im not, your hero Aris was scared and he said it himself: "he won by spamming the giant swing"... Have you played against blazinpeanut? You must be a pro to call him a newb.
@payasoinfeliz Not defending blazing peanut, as he kinda embarrassed himself here but tech rolling giant swings, even with mashing, often fails. In fact, I keep referring back to the movelists to check if it's the correct command. Yeah, throw breaks & tech online are that bad.
@StickyickyX it often fails if youre not used to it (which a player experienced in laggy tekken should be). i have never once failed to tech giant swing online by simply mashing the tech in lag. tech rolling is not even close to comparable to throw breaks.
@WhiteWolfXArcadia i second that, but these guys arent used to online at all. i can play nearly as good online as i can offline. its a matter of getting used to it.
@JIX9ISLER1986 I dont think he's a SF4 fanboy lol he was just saying Tekken streams arent that hype and he's right imo mainly due to the commentary, they generally sound so monotone to the point where I just wanna watch gameplay w/o it...but these Bogus Journeys has some of the best commentary mixed w decent gameplay.
@YinZenYang no no i wasn't calling him specifically a stf 4 fanboy I'm just saying the masses of them who think street fighter 4 is the best thing since sliced bread
@HASJ That's because you're not watching Electric Wind God Fridays. go to avoidingthepuddleDOTcom because they're going to pose a link later on for the stream and they will be streaming Tekken Tag Tournament 2 today.
I really like these videos, but what are guys like me who don't have time to go to an arcade everyday, just play offline with the computer everyday that shit gets crazy boring after awhile.
Go to a console tournament nearby every once in a while.
Make a bi-monthly trip to an arcade that's far away.
Basically just find a situation where you can play other players offline every now and again. If you're serious about playing Tekken it won't be difficult and you'll improve dramatically.
But if you're not serious then by all means play online. You don't -have- to be a competitve player. The majority aren't.
