@433222G its a 6.5 detroit diesel, chevy had detroit diesel built these engines for them. The duramax is when gm went to izuzu for help in 2001.

do you think these trucks will last a while i found one im thinking about buying it has 90,000 miles on it. just wondering if you thought these engines would make it to 200,000 or so thanks

@hollnagelc There was a local z71 that maxed out the odometer...999,999 and all he ever changed on the engine was the water pump.. they will make it to 200,000 easily

@hollnagelc good trucks.. they do have PMD issues and other fuel system problems often though

@hollnagelc relocate the PMD and the engine will run fine. Most failures are due to the PMD failing.
