@tdblake91 There are Shiba Inu rescues that you could go to. You would only have to pay a rehoming fee. You should however keep in mind that while they are very cute they can be a lot of work. I myself have two and they keep me busy all day long. They tend to be very stubborn, and require a lot of training. I would recommend that only very experience ddog owners raise Shiba's.

@Cadence168 I know that I've looked for rescue in my area, they aren't any near where I live. But I know how they can be stubborn my parents use to breed and train dogs all my life. But I just rescued and akita and the training, if I didn't know how to do so in a proper way would be difficult.

good first dog? we were considering an akita (and still are) but it just seemed that for a first dog, it may be too big and too powerful, mum was worried if we lost control of it whils out walking and it harmed someone. the shiba just seemed a bit less... big, not sure about powerful but less big, but dont get me wrong, i love big dogs

I feel your pain. We have 4 Shibas. When they blow it's like a fur storm. I use to get jewelry and flowers on my anniversary from husband. Now I ask for super turbo powered vacuuam cleaners. LOL. Great video.
