Isn't that just HORRIBLE to think about the people that LIVE IN POINT OF ROCKS? I lived there for 5 days before my UNION OIL job didn't pan out and I went back to Iowa. I had never been so happy to see Iowa in my entiere Life! At least you UP GUYS GET TO LIVE IN SLC or Sandy or whrerever. I just lost my job in Oregon and came back to the Quad Cities. @IamanOregonBeaver John, my family owns and operates the businesses in Point of Rocks. It's been home to us for three generations and eight decades. My mom grew up there, and no matter where I go (and I live in California now), seeing Point come into view is bliss. I can see why someone from outside would think it terribly isolated, but it's very beautiful. It might amuse you to know that I feel the same of Iowa as you do of Point. It's a frame of reference thing. :) I hope you found work.
Wow. Can even see the Point of Rocks Bar. Did time there when working at Jim Bridger and Black Butte coal mines. Nice video.
