  • girl:penis pro

    the guys:thats right

  • says a lot that random notes from a computer remind one of 20th century music

  • SHE IS SO FUCKING ANNOYING

  • WHO CUT HER CHAINS??? WHAT'S SHE DOIN' OUT OF THE KITCHEN??

  • THE RENOWNED CONCERT PENIS STEPHEN HOUGH. Hahahaha

  • This man played the all time most difficult to play

    and impressively beautiful piece

    please change the °

    youtube°com/watch?v=L14hbzKPAYc&feature=colike

  • Thats a big kitchen.....

  • he reminds me of mr bean!

  • 2:15 that REALLY sounds like atonal music. like something straight from Schoenberg and 12 tone serial music. in fact it sorta sounds like something from Schoenberg's 3 waltzes

  • oh finger me!

  • I suspect the interviewer is... somewhat out of her depth.

  • "fear not, you can all be a lang lang." amen.

  • Hough?? I really wonder. A Liszt fanatic and great pianist and a .. toy?

  • daymonco1's comment comes in at about 00:16 where she says "pianist pro" but her accent makes it sound like what daymonco1 said.

  • It's an interview bitch. A more or less one sided conversation. Not two sided. Stop talking so fucking much. Let the guy explain the god damn app.

  • Obviously when he said that Flight of the Bumble Bee was made famous by Lang Lang he was joking... (?)

  • @hinomusic he was talking about the app, lang lang played with it in concert

  • jesus that girl needs to stfu

  • 1.33 ?? name of song?

  • @paolo2008 Mozart piano sonata 16

  • @paolo2008

mozart piano sonata in c major k545

  • Charlie Sheen is a concert pianist?

  • @JonathanOfTheDepths

You obviously have no idea what Charlie Sheen looks like!

  • @Ollifant13 Their facial structure and buggy eyes are similar.

  • I guess he must have felt pretty disconfortable from his position to present this. Actually pathetic, to tell it in a harsh way.

However he kept his head up: "for about 15min i had fun" (that's all time this device worth) and "that's kinda of.. not too interesting to me in the end". And the usefulness of the gadget is amazing!!!: "you have an orchestration to do and.. you don't have a laptop"... maybe you also driving a car and you really need to hear some dings... yes, very usefull!

  • I'm always blown away by peoples patience and also their lack of patience. Wait for the second generation because it will be even better.. Yes... But when you've waited for second gen, you might as well wait for third gen, cause that's going to be even BETTER. Actually, with the iPad, waiting for second gen turned out to be extremely smart, second gen is pretty amazing. But its still got the same screen.. Third gen is going to be HD and awesomesauce... Not waiting, though.

  • lol she went to grab it a 4:06 on got rejected

  • I've always admired Hough as a musician. Himself seemingly unaware of the meaning of the word 'difficult', his flawless, vivid interpretations always make me smile and laugh, so I've been assuming that he is a man with a great sense of humour even outside the realm of musical interpretations. Now he has proven that to be a matter of fact: 'Flight of the Bumble-bee' - made famous by Lang Lang?!! Did he mean as a visualisation of the title?

  • There is a free app tha is a key board of farts and burps, my 5 year old nephews think i rule now

  • just saw this guy in concert today in fort worth .. absolutely loved his playing

  • i means you can have a cocktail LOL

  • An iPiano will never replace the real piano with it's fine touch and real sound.

  • She speaks too much

  • @josictrl She's female.

  • @josictrl she`s paid for speaking, I guess))

  • But if everyone waited for the second generation... there would be no second generation, would there? o--O

  • @Superrwham Thanks TIPS I know -_-

  • Steven was being very polite.

    An irritating gimmick.

  • I like her voice...and ill be seein this dude stephen in my hometown in a month or so .. cant wait!

  • Penis pro got pwned by the penis pro

  • Sure would have loved to have one of these when writing arrangements on the road back in the 70's.

  • Yeah, Ok. "just wait for the 2nd generation". Looks like a few million people wisely didn't take your advice!

  • @cliffx7

I wish i had received that advice before i bought mine...

  • so they got a pianistto tell them how shit it is.

  • :D "john cage could use the ipad". We spoke over him in my school and heared that "tarzet tarzet tarzet".. very bad and stupid!

  • ha, check out atomic tom in the subway then tell me if the ipad is good for music....they did that with just iphones, i imagine the ipad is much more practical than the iphone...

  • hands of a 5 year old hahahahah

  • They should've got him 7 or 8 iPads all with the same piano app and all with different "piano possitions".

  • Very informative

  • I don't think he realized he could change octaves on either keyboard in double manual mode, making one for bass and one for treble. Nice that he didn't simply dismiss the whole thing straight away.

  • it's great that he is so accepting of what must surely be to him a rather trivial device

  • @lsbrother

Yes, it's just a toy for him and for any people who really know what a piano is!

  • @lsbrother he's awesome.

  • did she say penis pro??

  • @daymonco1 thats EXACTLY (NO JOKE) what i thought she said, this whole thing sounded very dirty if you where not watching the actual video

  • @daymonco1 where?

  • @daymonco1 Yeah it sound like that but she in fact said pianist pro, its british accent!

  • @SnapeVEVO Thanks, Captain Obvious of the SS Duh.

  • Its laughable. I mean, nobody can practice on it. Its okay for doodling around on but we held this discussion in our music lecture and before anyone lectures me - my teacher is Andrew Zolinsky, so go google him, and we figured it was a complete waste of time.

    a) because you can only use one hand at a time.

    B) You dont get all of the keys so it's pretty much impossible.

As @ bethydee123 says, you need to or three ipads next to each other lol.

  • @everyone; she isn't saying "penis". Pianist is actually pronounced (pee uh nist). How she says it is right

  • wahts the second app i cant find it on the app store!

  • @XxbubziexX It's called Magic Piano, it is made by Smule.

  • 2:43-2:44

  • she. is. so. attractive. she would be like a 6/10 but with that accent shes easily an 8/10 or even 9/10!

haha she pronounces pianist like penis.

  • He must be very disappointed. iWish (or I mean iPad) comes nowhere NEAR a real piano. He's probably not down playing it because they are probably hooking him up with an iPad for this interview. Total toy App and idea generation, not for production or performance.

  • if you had 2 or 3 more ipads in a line next to each other and had it on the piano app then you could probs play it as if it was a normal piano ;)

  • Who knows if there is a some programs for transposing tonalities...? like putting notation - text of original tonality & getting higher or lower ...C major to #D major or c minor to a ...I know it's possible to do on digital piano...but not on natural piano.

  • i love british accent

its so clean and i dont know..

  • 0:16 PENIS PRO

  • You are an expert mate, I am sure you can learn the octave switching technique!... Dont be so boring and learn it!

  • Lol @ 0:16

    Whats a "Penis Pro"?

  • @asianmovement HAHAHAHA XD. LOL Penis Pro.

  • Didn't like that Stephen Hough too much, too grumpy in his opinion.

Off course it isn't a replacement for a real 88 keys piano you twit!!!

Don't judge it like that, dumbass!

He should rate it as if the question was "is this a nice introduction for people to get to know, experiment and get enthousiastic with a piano?"

A lot of people are turned off by the cost of a 'real' keyboard/piano, which is 200+ dollar/euro and thus will never try the piano.

This wonderful iPad app lowers that problem

  • @slashd Yeah he seemed really grumpy... maybe he suddenly realised that a computer can do his job better! hahaha

  • @slashd

    Hey, don't slate my hero!

  • writing music, FANALE FOR IPAD!!!

  • Stephen Hough is probably my favourite living pianist. His level of virtuosity is just phenomenal but above all he's just a fantastic musician and communicator. Listen to his recording of two Hummel concertos on Chandos (I think) or the Saint-Saens concertos on Hyperion. They are just breathtakingly good. Plus, he always comes across as such a likeable fellow.

  • haha, stephen hough could probably play flight of the bumblebee as effortlessly on a real piano!!! HE IS AMAZING, LOOK HIM UP ON YOUTUBE!!!

  • i love british accent and really her is really ............epic

  • @yassinovo its called English...

  • Oh and cute video. The pianist Is interesting to listen to.

  • Don't wait for the second generation. Just buy it now then IF the 2nd device is significantly better then sell it and replaces. Always waiting for the new thing means you never get anything. This was written on my iPad.

  • @pulseforce I would have never thought about doing that. Would you suggest selling on eBay or something? I'd love to see, in the 2G iPad, a camera just at the front, so you can connect with FaceTime to other iPhones, and perhaps in the future compatability for computer video calls (like Skype). That would be awesome, I'd be sure to buy one then. :-)

  • @tombomdoodle Sure, a camera for video communication would be cool. I'd probably sell my first generation iPad to get one with a camera. Anyway, as it is, they are freaking INCREDIBLE devices. You can have so much fun, and get surprising amounts of work done. For instance, I am a musician and there are very, very powerful mobile studio applications. The 10" screen makes them a joy to use, and it's all I need on a plane journey to sketch out some music ideas that I then bring to a studio.

  • @pulseforce what recording apps work good for music? I was just looking into this today and found a few that worked okay... anything that works great?

  • @teejvalley Sorry for the late reply. I've extensively investigated ALL options out there, and tried most of the available software.

    MUST-have:

    Nanostudio (Mobile music production workstation)

    Inspirational/improvisation:

    Seline HD (Improvisation synth)

Bloom HD (Random music generation using scales, great for inspiration)

    Magic Piano (Just plain fun!)

    Beatwave (free Monome clone)

Fun drum sequencer if you like to make inspiring rhytms while out and about:

    KORG iELECTRIBE

  • Sorry for the short descriptions, but you know how limited YouTube comment space is. You can look up each of those softwares. I would get *all* of them. They're worth every dollar and will give you more inspiration than anything on a computer. There's something to be said for just having plain FUN on a portable device curled up in the sofa, creating inspiring melodies in one of the other apps, recording the results as MIDI in Nanostudio, and finally finishing it in a computer.
