So, I noticed that you guys used several programs and a bit of equipment. For somebody who is just starting out to create electronic music, remixes, clipped and edited music like this, (I'm a classically trained musician but this genre interests me now!) what would you suggest that I purchase? You use Ableton, Reason, and ProTools, what is the reason for all three?

Last question, can the Midi Keyboard that you have perform the same functions as that MPD? I'm a bit unclear on that! Thanks a bunch

@QuadesMusic Get FL Studio... There's a free demo on their site. It's a great program and a shitload cheaper than Pro Tools, and also a lot easier. You can also sample, and record Midi files into it. Free packs and VSTs for it are also for download all over Youtube. The only thing about it is mixing and mastering a track is a bit harder.
