@iankyoko America didn't peak in the 1970s, America decided to buy dirt cheap Arabian oil instead of actually go look for more domestic supplies. It's the same reason jobs go over to India - if someone is willing to work for a penny an hour why spend $7.50 for the same work?

When I launch my alternative fuels refinery in mom's garage in due time, my net COG index will be less then .03 cents per US Gallon, so .27 a Gal. gas (let alone $1.50) will still be pricey. & in no event shall it be able to compete.
