I know those are gensets! I see 4 upy gensets every day. If u would take the time and reread the first coment i left... I was asking what kind of freight car that was behind the 2nd genset!
Am I right, was this BNSF's doublestack mainline to from Long Beach to Los Angeles before the Alameda corridor came in 2002? If it was, that's amazing considering the crummy line from long beach all the way to slauson.
@QuakeAlf980 I have never seen the stacker train on the BNSF harbor sub. You mean, the baretables? I think it used to store at near LAX but I have not seen for a while.
Like I said no problem. It's neat to see my neighborhood local on you tube. Those gensets are cool looking but I'd rather have the old geeps back. I went to Fullerton yesterday (8/19/10) and saw what I'm guessing is the Fullerton local with a pair of warbonnet GP60Ms doing some switching. Those 60s are much better looking than gensets in my book.
@mso3355 Yea, I know what do you mean. I don't know I want to see gensets everyday on the harbor sub or not Hey, do you have any idea that what time the N/B usually go through Torrance Bl?
@singwith I'm not 100% sure but I want to say between 12:00 and 1:00 in the afternoon. Maybe even a little before lunch time. Also I usually see it heading S/B at Marine Ave by the green line station at around 1:30ish. Pretty much around lunch time is when you'll see it moving in the South Bay.
The trains do need a better horn though. Great Vid!

To think, not too long ago, this use to be the Harbor Line that carried double stacks and going way back, saw steam on this line too!

@DaaYay yea, this is used to be a Santa Fe Main line, Harbor sub from Vernon to Long Beach.
singwith 9 months ago
@singwith Any footage of that anywhere? I moved by it in 2004 too late to see any action, just stories.
DaaYay 9 months ago
@DaaYay not on youtube. I have seen some of harbor sub photos, just google it.

Love these new Switchers. They're a lot different than the old EMD GP7 I ran in the early 50s. Great video.
