Sand flea is an endearing nickname given to this species of crustacean known as Emerita. Yes parts of the world refer to them also as mole crabs. My children and I still call them sand fleas even though i make sure they know the actual name of the creature.

thats actually not a sand flea. its another crustacean, i don't know what they're called officially but i call them sand crabs. Sand fleas are about 1.5 centimeters long and feed off of other sea life. sometimes u find them in dried seaweed on the beach nd they go for ur feet.

Those are descending from the prehistoric thing identical but wat back in history , then, they wer (were) , huge i think those little grey bugs you find with 12 legs (under-rocks) are from them too ..
