worst possible way to put a tire on a rim. When you use a tire lever (or screwdriver like some of you say) you will squeeze the inner tube which will result in (faster) punctures.

You can only use your hands!

Hey man, thanks for the video, now I just have one more problem. What is the little stem on the valve is somehow blown off and you can no longer tighten your valve shut because there is no spinning nut or w/e. Can you buy replacements for those or do you just have to buy a completely new tube? Thank You.

@Insertnamesz If it is a Presta Valve nipple, I did not know they came out. For Schrader, not as shown in the vidio, they come out if unscrewed and are interchageable. Get one from a discarded bike tube is easiest. It takes a little tool to remove or the cap on green slime bottle will often do it. I think you can buy also these valves. Still need tool or slotted valve cap to tighten.

Ok so I'm doing everything right. Got the second bead insertted around to the space of about four spokes left to go and its a bitch. I've done this a bunch of times before, but its such a bitch that I wanted to make sure I had it right. What a terrible wheel/tire combo. I've got gatorskins too. Even mechanics have cursed at trying to get the tire back on.

I've never seen it done quite this way. Is it O.K. to slide the lever as is shown? Is it not better to use three levers, popping out the tire, bit by bit, removing and replacing levers as you go?

Also, is it all right to break the bead–hook seal, by hand?
