if you put the CAPO on the first fret and while it's still on the first fret you could tune it to standard tuning and then take the CAPO of and it will be tuned HALF A STEP DOWN. that how i do it when i play the world and alumina. the way you do it also works to just want to let you no you don't have to have it on the whole time. when sakito was doing a live performance at budokan he didn't use a capo. okay good job
i lost my shian tab and then found it not to long ago and i learned the solo which i didn't think i could play before either it took me and hour to learn the solo

I keep it at a whole tone lower because I play songs from The GazettE too and alot of them are tuned a whole tone lower.
