  • @twinkletoez100 Chet was injured in a coal fire. Visit our website to read that episode. It is entitled No Sooner Said Episode 34.

  • @chameleonvoice k thnks

  • Awesome Tribute!

  • Oop,s I mean.. 4 (four). (as in 1974)

  • Bloody hell! I loved this show when I was 47, and now I'm 40!

  • What the hell did KMG365 mean?

  • @marty6980 it was the stations call sign

  • Now! Nice job my friend, I used to watch Emergency on TV Land. Thank you for posting this video!

  • I miss the Emergancy show when it was on TV how come they don't do a update on the show to new graghics or a Remake of the show with the same old cast direction it it be great to bring it back.

  • What does KMG365 stand for?

  • The *KMG365* code that the Captain (or whoever acknowledges the radio dispatch) gives, is the FCC station license number for the base radio at that station.

  • @TheFrogger15 It's the base code and the radio frequency.

  • very cool

  • someone said the squad 51 truck is rotting in a warehouse. if its indoors it should still be in great shape

  • @rob4713 Squad 51 was donated to the County of Los Angeles. fire Museum Eventually, a resolution authorizing the transfer was approved by the County Board of Supervisors. In 1999, in preparation for Project 51s national tour and donation ceremonies at the Smithsonian Institution in Washington DC, CLAFMA supervised and paid for a frame-off restoration of Squad 51. The restoration cost nearly $30,000,

  • @rob4713

squad 51 now looks and runs better than new, and it is the single-most popular vehicle in the Museums collection. On the Project 51 national tour, thousands of people posed for the photos in front the vehicle. Every year, people from all over North America and other countries make arrangements to visit our South Gate warehouse and have their picture taken with Squad 51.

  • Thanks for this, brought back some great memories(In Aust) as a child but do something about that "30 years ago" bit you mention.....wasnt that long was it?Lol.

  • you can watch emergency on hulu as well

  • I visited the station this past summer. The day room and kitchen have changed. The radio alcove is now gone, replaced by a Coke machine - LOL!

  • Which episode did the burning squad come from?

  • That image was custom made for a new readable Emergency episode we wrote and produced on our website. See links in the video's longer description.

  • at 1:40, johnny and roy are working on starsky and hutch. i never saw that one. i remember an early episode when they were paired up w/ 1adam12.

    wow!

  • Some of these images are customized to fit the new episodes we are creating. Visit our website to see that crossover story which combined Starsky and Hutch with Emergency. It's a crowd favorite.

  • You can watch episodes the original series at the NBC Web site.

  • The original Squad was restored, and toured the US on it's way to it's new home in the Smithsonian in DC.

  • For me... it is one of the greatest memories of my life.. When I was I a child never lost an episode of Emergency..Never become paramedic but always help at my Emergency Response Teams in my own job!!

  • A kickass TV show...this started Emergency Medical Training in the US!!!

  • I totally agree, only 16 more days

  • One of my favorite shows. I think it used to come on Saturdays in the evening here in Cleveland. Loved that show!!

  • This show inspired me to become an EMT. I absolutely love it and EMS. My dream came true when I went to LA and visited Station 127in 2007. The guys gave me a tour of the station. You can tell that they are very proud that "E!" was filmed there, and the set designers did a good job, because they look just like the real station. Anyway, thanks for the trip down memory lane!

  • Favorite show! Thanks for posting

  • I became an EMT and went to Nursing school. Wanted to be like Dixie. (Was in a car accident myself before I could finish Nursing school) and had the fine fire dept rescue me- from my trapped car. This show was awesome and still holds up after 30 plus years! Love Johnny & Roy!

  • I just want to say that I really got chance to experiance all of this first hand as one a member of Goodhew Ambulance as a EMT and then as a PARAMEDIC for Goodhew and then I went on to join LACo FD Squads 14 21 and then 116 during the 80's and early 90's and everytime I drove under ol Harbor General Hospital I would always say I can't believe I am doing this, and as a Present member of the Chicago

  • As like you john. This show is what made me become a paramedic at age 18. "as soon as i could" I have been a paramedic in oklahoma city for 20 years now.AND I LOVE IT, all because of this show.

  • I understand the original Squad 51 truck was recently found rotting away in a warehouse and they are asking for donations to help restore it to its former glory. I would love to get my hands on that truck. I would restore it myself :)

  • i loved when "Chet" and "Gage" would pick with each other..loved this show

  • Great Job!

  • This show is the reason why I became a Paramedic. I was employed as a Firefighter Parmedic in New Jersey. Squad 32 in Ewing Township. Then to Hamilton Township. My certification number was 0574. Brings back memories that I enjoy.

  • wow!

  • My father Larry Dolan was the prop man on this show for years. what a great gig. Aaahhh the good ole days. Carson,Swat,hulk............

  • I wish that Tvland would show this again.

  • has it really been 30 years!?!

still it was the show that started it all!

  • One of my all time favorites from childhood.

I enjoyed the mix of optimism and innocence during that decade. The commeraderie between the characters is lost in many of today's shows. They sure don't make em like this anymore!!

  • I am such a fan of this series. I am in the process of getting the helmet that the boys wore the actual replica as I plan on going as Johnny's daughter to a Halloween party this year.:)

  • Can not believe it's been 30 years

  • I miss the 1970s and all the good shows I watched as a kid.

  • Heh. Likewise

  • LA LIFE GUARDS! THAT WAS AWSOME!

  • Love this video. Watched Emergency everytime the show came on when I was a little boy.......Seems like yesterday, but it was a long time ago.......I really miss my brothers......we sure had one hell of a firefighting crew when we grew up back in the late 80s. We went all over the country. RIDGE RUNNERS Forever!! No doubt this show inspired some of us. Great job with this video and good luck with this website.

  • Nice job on the promo. Loved how you included Starsky and Hutch (along with Gage and DeSoto) in one of your slides. Boy, they sure don't make TV shows like this anymore. The camaraderie was so evident in both Emergency and Starsky & Hutch. I think that's what drew me into these shows. The actors cared about each other, just like their characters did. It made great TV in the 70s. Best wishes with your website.

  • The boys playing Twister at the station w/Boot was HELLA hilarious! LOL!

  • all of these old programs were the best.this was one of my favorates. the stuff they have on now are just plan dumb.thanks for posting this.

  • i agree whynotb7,my only word for that is-kmg 365.

  • never did figure out what that meant

  • kmg365 was the frequency callsign signature that was assigned to "Station 51" to use after every rollout assignment so management later could have the audiologs "ident stamped" with whom accepted what task and at what time. Useful on a busy network with multiple channels and dozens of fire stations and other services.

  • cool thanks for the info dude

  • I'm a dudette. Yeah, the nick doesn't show that, sorry.

  • I alao thought that the call sign was an FCC ident. When I started in the Fire service back in 1992, our dispatch gave the same kind of ident. KCL513 after every tap out. It was the license code that authorized you to be on the freq. Most big cities dispatch centers did it once an hour or so. Today, you'll hear a computerized beeping noise that is done automatically so they don't have to.

  • I love that show too so where can i buy those DVD?

  • I love this show show too. You can purchase season 1,2 &3 at Borders or Walmart. Season 4 will be available this month.

  • Great Job...very intense. I love Emergency and I love reading the stories as they come out on Emergency Theater Live

  • I love that show when I was kid and still do now! I have season 2 on dvd and wathc it over and over again.

  • love it any love the show a true fan....
