this band has great musicians but the songs are very dissapointing. satriani has come up with amazing guitar riffs on his solo albums that i always thought could use some lyrics and singing. i really dont know what happened to them on this album. very dissapointing. just another case of super groups failing

Sam and Mike are obviously happy working together (and I'm glad they are!) and they have the greatest WORKING rock guitarist and a fantastic drummer! I don't know a lot about Chad Smith- does he like being a rock drummer instead of a funk drummer?

There's a difference, Montrose was never a Ground breaking act, Van Halen's debut album in 78 was stratospheric in Rock/Heavy Metal, and to this day it remains one of the defining references by which other bands are seen (alongside Nirvana, Sex Pistols, SlipKnot..)

The 80's was a time of great music: Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, Queensryche, Def Leppard, Motley Crue, need I say more? These guys are the best band I have heard in forever, providing a breath of fresh air in a genre that has stagnated in recent years. Modern "Rock", and I use the loosest sense of the word, is filled with whiny singers and instrumentalists who can't play. The Rock N Roll world needed these guys.

These guys remind me of Zeppelin. Not in musical style or ability, but, like Zeppelin, four talented musicians got together and made a band, having sold out concerts on their first ever tour, and selling millions of copies of their very first album right when it comes out. Zeppelin was one of the best bands the world has ever seen, and I think Chickenfoot has the ability and talent to someday be one of the best bands the world has seen.
