In fact the first mentioned friend was the one who showed Oomph! to me. Then the second friend was my Rammstein guru whom I asked questions about them because I liked them a lot and wanted to know about them. I'd say I knew roughly 20 kids who claimed they like rammstein...

Then I bought the Sehnsucht album, got a copy of Reise Reise, Rosenrot, Mutter, and Herzeleid from My gf at the time, and friends respectively. I just liked how badass the guitar was, the depth of Till's voice, considering most popular music where I'm from consists of rap and girly pop bands like All American Rejects, or Boys like girls. I also got an R+ tattoo. :P

same here. i'm also an american, i LOVE both Oomph! and Rammstein. i know that in some rare cases, stereotypes may be true, such as africans are naturally good at running, due to their genetic makeup giving them straighter legs, but even then, individuals tend to vary a lot. i'm also an american. however, Alika, i should remind you that whilst they are two truly different bands, Rammstein have been inspired by Oomph! in the past. same with Megaherz and Eisbrecher.
