Coyotes must be controlled but it must be integrity. Shooting an animal and then watching it die is not integrity. If you don't have the wherewithal to quickly minimize an animals suffering you should not hunt.

@ajp627 looks like a pretty good shot to me! animal did not run..died within a minute. Even a perfectly placed shot the animal does not die instantly. For that, you would need a headshot, which...bowhunting if you know anything about it...you do not do.

This really isn't that terrible of a shot? the coyote was quartering to. If you look at the angle of the arrow, it impacts in the chest (probably by the lungs) and exits at the back hip. It would take the same shot on many different animals. Great shot man!

You should have shot it again...i understand not all the shots you take hit their mark where you want it to but if you have time which you clearly did take another shot so the animal doesnt suffer. And they are very useful, they are what keeps the rodent population under control, along with Snakes, Birds of Prey, etc. I would worry more about stray dogs than Coyotes, considering Coyotes are not as bold as stray dogs.

That was a perfect shot, he double lunged him and the only reason why he was flopping around was because of the instant release of adrenaline. That yote was dead the second that arrow left the bow. That was a perfectly clean kill and the yote obviously wasnt in pain as he wasnt yelping and was dispatched in just over a minute.

Good job, nothin to good for a yote. If you ever saw the way they canabalize their pray alive, you wouldnt be complaining. Yotes especially like inquinsitive family pets minding their own. Pay close attention to most coyote calls how there wounded or animals in distress. In other words, there not coming to help.

And they are very useful, they are what keeps the rodent population under control, along with Snakes, Birds of Prey, etc. I would worry more about stray dogs than Coyotes, considering Coyotes are not as bold as stray dogs.

@JarheadRTR It was a clean and decent shot. Suffering is the way they eat their pray alive tearing it apart. Exactly the way, they did my Boston Terrier. My son had taken him out to go "potty" and thats when they got him. We found him, "Cannibalized" in the woods behind my property. Not killed mercifully, eaten alive. All internalls gone and ribs eaten to the spine. Flesh torn off. I was thankful we didn't have to hear his dying screams. Again, Nothin to good for a yote!

That was a perfect shot, he double lunged him and the only reason why he was flopping around was because of the instant release of adrenaline. That yote was dead the second that arrow left the bow. That was a perfectly clean kill and the yote obviously wasnt in pain as he wasnt yelping and was dispatched in just over a minute.
