  • please any one inform how can import this bike my country india

  • it sounds pretty weird lol.

  • why you get rid of the rest of the body like sideing its looks dumb ha but awsome vid tho electric cycles are cool.

  • Bomb as shit! How fast can it go? Mine will only hit 20mph : (

  • Any motorcyclist who thinks car drivers "hear them coming" are living on another planet. All most car drivers hear are their own stereos. Learn to ride properly and you won't have to rely on car drivers seeing or hearing you.

These electric bike projects are great.

  • once there will be lots of different e-bikes out there to choose from... thats the moment when i'll ad a motorcyclepermission to my drivinglicence... until then i stick to four wheels ... :)

  • Hey man nice work on the bike,

I'm looking at building an electric moped but it wont fit a large 72 tooth sprocket on the rear. just wondering if a 6 tooth front and 36 tooth rear will give the same results.

    Cheers.

  • We have to burn coal to produce electricity - Electirc vehicles aren't the answer.

  • @SynkopeMusic 2 things.

    1) Renewable energy - electricity "can be" produced many different ways, not just coal.

    2) Efficiency - electric motor are more efficient than, for example internal combustion engines this is because of less moving parts that rob horsepower and no need for idling at a standstill.

That said they're not perfect but what is?

  • @SynkopeMusic

Actually, only 45% of our power comes from coal, and due to the greater efficiency of electric motors (85%) versus gas engines (15%) they use vastly less energy per mile. As a consequence, even on today's grid, EVs are roughly half as polluting. For the MIT study proving this, google "mit wheel to well analysis of evs".

  • @Zamboro You may have a point, but I'm what you may call a petrolhead. One of the main reasons I love cars and bikes, is because of the sound they make. If they start mass-poducing electric vehicles, they wont only take most of the fun - they'll take my heart and soul.

  • @SynkopeMusic

Look at it this way; The more of us ride electric, the less demand there is for gas, which lowers prices for you. I do wish you'd try an electric motorcycle though. I've seen plenty of you guys get on one and change their minds after a single test drive. They seem quiet to others, but close up they have their own distinct noise, like a spaceship powering up, and chain drive EV bikes sound like tie fighters going past. They have a great sound and feel all their own, try one.

  • @SynkopeMusic I've been driving an EV for years and I prefer the lack of noise to the nice loud gas engine most Americans seem to be so fond of. The notion that an EV can't be fun to drive false. It also amazes me that people would choose a vehicle based on how fun it is to drive rather than the cost it has on your wallet and the environment.

  • @happyshamancult Hmmm. I'm from the UK by the way, but that's irrelevant. I don't thikn that I would mind an EV to drive to and from work, the daily commute as you may say - But I would still like to have a petrol vehicle to use as a trackday car, then I would be fine with it. Except I live in the British countryside, so unless they have a good battery range they are not really applicable to me - Yet.

  • @SynkopeMusic You bought 16 gallons and what did you get.

Another older older and deeper in debt.

    ...

Your heart and soul belongs to the oil company roll.

  • @m1aws I live in the UK - We measure petrol in litres. Prices for fuel are so high because the government takes around 80% in tax, so when the oil prices go up they have to charge us more to take their tax. Americans think they have it badly, we pay around £1.30 for a litre for petrol, that must be around $3 a litre? Electric vehicles do not yet have the range to be used as a normal everyday vehicle.

  • @SynkopeMusic Yes I live in the UK at £6.34 a gallon. Due to volume/weight it's difficult for bikes to have the range even though they consume less, like 100WH/mile. However, Cedric Lynches streamliner has a range over 175 miles. The Tesla roadster sports car can manage 300 miles if driven very carefully.

Most, if all EV's will be the "main car". Almost nobody does a 100 miles a day all the time. Charge at home overnight. They save you going out in the pissing rain to fill up.

  • I want to find one with a body covering the battery to try out so it doesn't look silly. Fucking gas prices these days, by the time i can drink i wont have money to pay for a drink after i stop at the gas station on the way to the clubs.

  • Is that a chinese bike for the frame???

  • It could collapse, eventually, the companies that build stuff with planned obsolescence..but it could also stop wwIII over oil and let us have some fun days at the beach..BEACH BUMS!

  • doesnt make enough noise. Someone will eventually not see or hear you and run you over. Bikes are dangerous enough as it is, so let's not try to make them MORE dangerous so you can be a hero, ok? Bikes are cheap on gas, and they sound good. No need to keep trying to piddle paddle in a bad economy to rob people.... Forcing them to pay money that you don't deserve to get. Terrible idea, looks stupid too. When you see one of these parked somewhere, key it. Let them know it's ugly and dumb.

  • @deckdrive Got your hating done for the month?

  • @fizzguts nope, a dumb ass like you who never learned to mind his/her own business puts me right back under my quota. Do you have one of these bikes? Buy one, and forget about your helmet. Then drive one around the streets for a few hours. When you come back in 3 pieces because you got rammed by a car that didn't ONLY not see you, but didn't HEAR you either. Leave the motorcycle talk to those with motorcycles. It's people like you that cause the accident and blame it on us. So fuck off

  • @deckdrive So you hadn't done your hating for the month, good to know. Sucks to be you who can't ride a bike defensively . As all new bikes have to meet increasingly lower noise standards that must be a swine as you can't rely on only a pair of slash cut pipes for safety. LOL I look forward to you next spew of convoluted illogic where you try to justify being an arse. Try keying your own face tard

  • Thats pretty sick, :D how long does it last on a charge?

  • Your bikee has an special Sound like the bikes that use in Star Wars :P

  • Great video. Very inspiring. Thank you

  • cool.

  • Looking to start a new electric car/motorcycle company. Would you like to do this full time someday?

  • very nice

  • what amps are you running from that controller.

  • lead acid is already out-dated...good bike though...will be easy to update to lithium...

  • I think I saw you on mass ave and boyleston while riding my rickshaw and shouted out. was that you?

  • It's like a toy i love it! I want one :(

  • Tight.

  • stats? how long can u drive on a charge?whats the weight?

  • Hopefully the evolution of this new breed of motorcycle will be to rethink chassis design for battery storage.

  • when batteries get smaller and stronger it wont really be a problem.

  • Bike manufacturers can make batteries fit in the chassis.

  • the world needs more people like you and less people that would throw sticks at people like you.great job on the conversion.

have you seen the 59 lincoln neil young is converting to electric?instead of plugging it in to recharge it you can plug it in to power your house.check it out@lincvolt.

have fun saving gas i dont care for the dirty oil thugs.what your doing is great.thanks for helping with electric vehicals.

  • @ez3usx2 They finished it hear in Wichita

  • @ez3usx2 sticks are for hitting stones are for throwing,

sorry, i couldn't resist saying that, lol

  • @ez3usx2 The Linc Volt burned down due to having a BMS fitted.

  • Lennon is now at MIT working on a fast charge lithium battery for bikes and cars

  • now where's the fun in that...

  • NICE !!!

    no insurance required i hope...

just a M1 license would do fine for town/city commute travel, considering this bike can't go freeway speeds.

  • nice one, wow

  • wow amazing work man :) !

  • i ride my bike with the lights on all the time ,how would this affect the battery range

  • bad oviasly unless they are leds

  • are u using lead acid

    if u are there crap

    i used to get 3amp/h out of a 48v 20amp/h battery

got a ping battery i now get 20amp/h at full throttle

    running at 20-32amps

    get some lifepo4 batts

cost lots but worth every penny

and they are soooo light weight

i went from 23kgs to 10 kgs of batterys

    have have much more power

  • Hey serious question can it do wheelies? How much does it weigh? The best thing about motorcycles in my opinion is wheelies and EV bike has to be able to do it to sell.

  • an e motor has 100% torque at 0 rpm

so yes it will easy wheelie u have t have a powerful enough motor

  • Of the home builts I've seen this one is quite reasonable looking and would need very little cleanup/bodywork/rearanging of things for production.

  • What kind of a regenerative braking are u using?

  • This is the future. The future is now.

  • I sound like a total girl saying this, but I guess I have an excuse...cause well, I am one haha. But that bike is like, reeeaaalllyyy pretty.

  • That looks fecking amazing!!!!!!

  • How many volts are you running through the motor? And what kind of motor is it? What is your top speed and range?

    Thanks.

  • the best Electric Motorcycle in youtube..VERY NICE.................CONGRATULATIONS !!

  • Very nice. When and if we run out of gas i'm sure i will use a bike like this as transportation! Cheap and pretty good performance, like a moped :)

  • Can it withstand any environment? Like snow, heavy rain, extreme heat etc.

  • I haven't driven it in rain, etc. - and didn't seal things to withstand those conditions. It could be done though....

Yes, I registered the moto in California (plate).

  • Can you? Last time I checked people did not enjoy riding in snow and extreme heat.

I have ridden in heavy rain, and it is not fun even on a gas bike. I would love an EV bike..if I had a garage I would build one myself, but not much one can do in a little flat.

  • Don't you have to have a license plate on that bike?

  • This is cool and all but don't you have to register this bike at a DMV or something so the cops won't pull you over and give you shit?

  • im trying to build a bike where did you get those rims and tires from they are perfect

  • usa usa usa

  • Excellent but what type are this batteries?

  • I am sorry that I did not get back to you.

But I am not talent in electronics/mechanics

    stuff. You are lucky.

  • That is cool.

  • what motor are you using?

  • Wow, what a beautiful conversion job!! What motorcycle frame did you start out with?

  • It's a Lifan 200 III from T-Motorsports
