I wonder when you create the loop can you take the drums out and sample it into a mpc?

there are seperate volume controls for the input volume and drum volume so the drums can be turned off

I think with the RC 50 you can do the multiple sets of layers, but I heard it was useless live because when your switching sets of layers it delays. I don't have any personal experience with this and would be VERY curious about any feedback on the RC-50. I am on the hunt for my loop pedal as well, one key feature that im lookng for is the seamless switching between multiple sets of loops

yeah i want just a simple loop system and the boss loopstation is the best ive come across

Search looping with a POD X3, that guy uses an RC-50 live. He replies to comments and is very detailed. He can help with any RC-50 questions I'm sure.

geez you really sound like a close-minded noob. Extended range basses just provide a bigger "palette" for bassists to compose lines with. I guess you're thinking along the lines of "they just get more strings to look cool" but thats not always the case. There are plenty of bassists who do amazing things with basses with "more strings than a guitar", i.e. Jean Baudin, Yves Cabronne, Gregory Bruce Campbell to name a few.
