@fastvwg60 hey, the engines come from germany but it is assembled in mexico. My mom bought a 2004 tdi jetta, and everything besides the engine started to fall apart and felt like it was poor quality. If you are going to buy a VW, make sure its over 30,000 so it is imported

Don't know if the Volkswagens made in Mexico did give most people trouble. Considering that most workers in factories in Mexico are being exploited w/ a pathetic income and little technical training, so corporations can have cheap manufacturing. And considering problems in many other cars, assembled in USA but with to many parts from the "exploiting" suppliers. At least they have less parts made in China! Fck chinese exploiting!
