You should not focus on "disturbing" singing, it is just another music instrument this is how it should be considered. Converge is an awesome band, their album Jane Doe changed my life.

How do you and others able to play 16th notes on the cymbals so well? I've seen you and other people who play the rock band games, and you all seem to do it effortlessly. When I try it, my right wrist becomes tired and hurts after a short while. For how bad it is, I even have trouble playing "We didn't Start the Fire" by Billy Joel, and "White Wedding (Part 1)" by Billy Idol. I can do anything else fine on drums - just not that. If anyone else can give me tips, let me know.

@BiroZombie maybe it's something to do with your technique. Lee is a professional drummer so his technique is one of the best. try to get more effort coming from your wrists with aid from your fingers. also your grip may be too tight. try checking out some videos on hand technique for drummers.

@nidhiki12 This is very true, but there are still vocalists out there who can do screams and growls and have a huge amount of emotion and strength behind them while still refining them into something less inherently abrasive.

For example there's Mikael Akerfeldt, who has the most beautiful clean singing voice in all of metal, and yet has some of the most powerful growls in the business (see Leper Affinity, Blackwater Park, Master's Apprentices etc. etc. for good growling/screaming examples)

Converge released one of the best hardcore/metalcore albums of all time (Jane Doe) way back in the day. Dark Horse (the album this song came off of) is by no means the be-all end-all of all converge songs. It's a cool song and I can see why it's on Rock Band but Converge has a much bigger (and better) range then this song.

However, I don't listen to the type of music Cannibal Corpse plays and I know they're awful. Check out Devourment
