I predict Penn State wins EASY 77-0, it'll be 56-0 at halftime, with 28 points in each of the first two quarters, 14 points in the third quarter, and a single touchdown in the 4th. We should beat Oregon State, and we'll handle Syracuse and Temple no problem. Michigan should be another win, finally breaking the streak. And unlike most, I think we'll actually upset Ohio State.

So what are people in State College thinking the PSU'ers will do this year? PSU hasn't beaten Michigan since World War I, and since Michigan's rebuilding this year, PSU finally has their chance! Can they do it? I'm guessing they'll be 8-4, like they usually are.

Penn State usually does better than 8-4, generally 9-3 or 10-2 is how the season usually finishes. 2005 was an exceptionally good year, but 2006 and 2007 were slightly below average. I predict a 9-3 or 10-2 year for Penn State with at least one huge upset victory (probably Ohio State), but at least one loss to a team that we'll be expected to beat (likely Illinois). I think in 2008 we finally beat Michigan, finally beat Ohio State in the Horsehoe, and keep our perfect record over Indiana.

If you are a fan, know what you are talking about. We've been 8-4 in the regular season the past two years. Before the "dark ages" of 2000 - 2004, a 4-loss season was a down year in Happy Valley.

My guess this year is 9-3 or 8-4 in the regular season. We've got some very though games against Ohio State and Wisconsin on the road in primetime. Both are tough venues, made even tougher at night. Most fans will ber very pleased if we can win one of those.

When I said we usually do better than 8-4, I was referring EXACTLY to the pre-Minnesota game years. We usually did go 9-3 or 10-2 before 1999. And that's exactly why I said "2006 and 2007 were below average". 2005 was an exceptionally good year, if you remember, we did not go undefeated or one-loss every year before 1999. We had good years and bad years.

Penn State is about going to Canyon Pizza at 2 AM., it's about downtown on a Friday night, it's about camping out at the stadium with your best friends in the rain, it's about eating at the creamery, it's about competing with MSU in a blood drive every year, and it's about raising $5.2 million for kids with cancer last year. Being a Nittany Lion goes way past football.

Dude, I agree 100%. Alumni get a lot more pissed than the students do. Even if we don't go 1-7, we do lose a lot in terms of recruiting in state. We need to get rid of Galen Hall, and Jay Paterno. No option QB or amazing WR wants to come to Penn State. All of us here believe this will be Joe's last season, so hopefully Devlin or Clark play out of their minds for him.

JoePa isn't the problem, that was proven in 2005. My patience is wearing very thin with the offensive production and game management though. We have national championship caliper talent on our team yet we go 9-4 two straight seasons, and in 2007 I think our team was slightly worse than it was in 2006, when we returned nearly every offensive starter from the 2006 season. Teams that return almost every starter are supposed to be better than the previous season, NOT WORSE.
