K here is where discussion ends. I just bought a ss/sc 2 weeks ago. Raced 10 different cars and realized it doesnt have much potential. I loved the look though. So I traded it in a week later and lost 3 grand on the car for an ss/tc sedan. It was that much more worth it to pay the 5k difference and loose 3k on the trade. SS/tc stock will murder any ss/sc (accept to 20mph) THE SS/SC HAS ONE CRAZY 1ST GEAR...) But other than that tc all the way. No regrets on loosing the money.
@rexoverbey The only 4 door ss that sucks is the NA one made in 2006 for a year or two. I have a job where I where a suit to work everday. The two door is a teenager car. The TC Sedan was only made in 2009 and are very rare. There is nothing sexier than a fast 4-door. Get your stuff right kid. BTW.. The LSJ will never be better than any LNF. A little Naive on your end to think the TC coupe is better than lsj, but turbo sedan is not..Only a 40 pound difference kid. Good Night and Good luck
turbo LS will still never be what the factory turbo car is. You'd have to completely change the front and rear suspension and get the Saab 5 speed trans, its a waste of money modding an LS. A factory turbo car will be faster, handle better, and be more reliable than a turbo base model.
@FiredUpZ28 the fuck you talkin about? i know about 3 guys that have a LS turbo and runs great, not too much money and stock suspension and trans running 11 psi in one of them
@FiredUpZ28 I don't know about every year but i can tell you the 07 LS came with the Saab 5speed Trans, and after market suspension upgrades tend to be better then what GM gives the SS/TC and the 2.2 can handle far most boost on the block then the 2.0 block can.
Koni S&S, swaybars, pedders and you would already be handling better than a SS/TC for next to nothing. For the money you spent on SS/TC over LS you could build a real forged bottom end, built top end, 3" exhast, handling mods, interior/exterior mods, and still have enough money to take YOUR g/f out for a steak dinner (cuz ur ass is to broke). On top of that have cheaper insurance to boot ;p
Plus the pride of knowing it didn't come off the lot built. :)
@rexoverbey Or you could buy a TC that is built properly, instead of screwing around with an LS. You know for a fact that my TC will be worth 3 times as much as your modified LS when its time to sell. Nobody wants your hacked base model car.
I had an 06 SS/SC, stage 3.5, with alcohol injection, and a few other mods, Raced a SS/TC, stock with an intake and lost by a half a car, I'm sure your stage 2 SC wouldn't hold up. BTW I now own an 09 Cobalt SS/TC, 300 Miles on it, Not even broke in yet and I could take that little baby stage 2 haha
@ZachEffinIrick i have a ss/sc with downpipe catback intake and its a drivers race with a ss/tc with k & n filter and a lil boost mod. maybe that guy just cant drive his ss lol
ur a fuking idiot! why do u think they quit making the cobalt ss with a sc??? and switched 2 turbo? turbo will beat a sc all out anyday.vthe sc may get it off the line but once u hit the top of 2nd turbo blows past. why do u htink its 3k for a gud complete sc kit and 6k for turbo??? think b4 u speak kids.
ur the idiot...the reason why chevy quit the supercharge is because of emissions...the government passed a law requiring stricter emissions starting with all 2007 models. Of course your non-educated redneck ass wouldn't know that...i'll put my cobalt against ur pos any day of the week and twice on sunday...bring it don't sing it
wow...yea kuz im definetely a fuking redneck. god u kids r such morons... and i have a LS so yea u would. but ur all idiots. u put the same sc from the ss and u put it in the LS and its got more torque AND hp AND hella lighter andd blows it away u fuking jackass
@Revelayshuns could you make an attempt to complete your sentences, or even legible words? of course putting everything from a 2.0 to a 2.2, 2.4 will make more hp, its a bigger motor moron.
however, you cant out handle, or out modify it for the same amount of money.
Turbos are better to mod anyway...superchargers are nice, instant boost...can't complain, but you can always turn up the boost on a turbo, rather than buying smaller pullies for the supercharger.
albanian, you should look at the GARRETT alpha kit, its amazing, i actually have it on my car and it pushed me to 260 whp from stock, well after HPT also...
hey man i have an 08 cobalt ls, i bought the garrett turbo kit for it and it comes with an ecu relfash. but im not sure if the reflash it comes with will work for an 08. do you know? what tuning did you use for yours?
Add a turbo on top of the ss/sc twincharged is the shit!

Dude I would rather have kept the SS/SC and worked on it then get a 4-door sedan. Who wants a fast 4-door granny car. Turbo LSJ > 4-door LNF anyday.
