  • epic guitar in the end XD

  • Superb. Thanks again for sharing. I'll also share it with my brother, just as surely as he with his children.

  • wonderfully crafted, this is something I should have seen and enjoyed as a child...This is as entertaining and nice as it is culturally noble ! Too bad I had to watch ninja turtles and power rangers instead ! BWAAAAH !!!

  • Thanks, this is good for my ap lit homework :)

  • I was correct to sense Russian Genius at work here!

  • I love how Caliban is so happy to see them go :) he gets his island back after all.

  • They didn't do the part with the masque... That's my favourite part.

  • Gwuitarr Sooollooooo

  • Ohhhhh that was so good that prospero broke his wand and threw his books:)

  • this was so beatiful and touching moment to me I love shakespaear

  • vg

  • @kingfisher559 I'd never though of that! But I reckon your probrably correct, brilliant theory

  • Thnks for uploading this. It is helping me study for my intro to Shakespeare exam.

  • this is neither a tragedy nor a comedy, then how it is classified whithin the shakespearian plays?

  • @cescabel Romance. The late plays are classified that way.

  • serious thanks i really got it woot woot summary completed

  • WHAT IS THIS BEAUTIFUL MUSIC AT THE END?!

  • What a well put together trilogy.

Russian I notice, most enjoyable caching the esence of "The Tempest.

  • Personally, I think he's out of his mind giving up those powers. I mean, really what was the point of that?

  • oh i gettit now

  • They didn't do my favorite part D;

Hang, cur! hang, you whoreson, insolent noisemaker!

We are less afraid to be drowned than thou art

I'll warrant him for drowning; though the ship were

no stronger than a nutshell and as leaky as an

    unstanched wench.

  • @TehManofMusic

Oh, if you like insults, read King Lear. Great stuff.

  • wow i never liked the play because i didn't understand it, but this had help !

  • Claymation really works well for this play because of its fantastical elements , and the tone is really quite brilliant.

  • Yo, shakespreanimated, Thank you soo much for loading this up. Awesome on some kind of trip fantastic, awesome! GRaZI!?

  • No hay nada que hacer que esta animación supera a todas la películas que se han hecho de ''The Tempest'', una obra maestra.

  • i english class at the moment, we have to study caliban and the way he reacts to those who have power in the story

  • I like this Caliban even if it is one-dimensional. You can't expect much better from the Animated Tales.

  • I did really enjoy this. It helped me understand The Tempest better but I would have appreciated longer scenes sometimes. The play has much longer explanations and scenes which this version fails to reproduce.

  • i love the music at the end its like a mello rock ballad

  • what is the song at 3 minutes and 35 seconds

  • Love the music. Indeed, this play is well suitable for animation. :)

  • I LIKE THE GUITAR AT THE END

  • @iluvfreeonlinegames I though i was the only one who payed attention to it! It 'so beautiful than I must imagine more people like it. :)

  • I love this play.

  • niiice :) this video sure helped me undestand the general idea of play :)

  • never thought caliban could be portaired in such a montrous way :P

  • Caliban is painted as one dimensional, he's really more complex than this potrayal.

  • Caliban's ghetto

  • hahaahaha

  • I know, its pretty funny - I never imagined Caliban could be portrayed like that! (specially when he talks!) Hilarious :)

  • These little clay figures are so cute haha

  • by friend said that Caliban looks retarded looking lol.

  • I thought this was really good, very useful to anyone studying The Tempest. Very interesting portrayal of Caliban!! Hmmm. Wasn't big on the animation of Prospero though - he looked a bit like Jesus! Overall though, really helpful piece of work!

  • I love this

I actually think that animation suits Shakeaspeare

And that guitar solo at the end is epic so melodic.

  • I completely agree - I never thought puppets, shakespeare and guitar would go together but they all work so well, I loved it.

  • bad portrayal of prospero.

  • I've been looking for this series! *_*

    Thankyou so much for posting~!

  • lol i love how at 4:23 he just sort of throws ariel to his left, "you're freee" *chucks*

i thort it wus quite interestin once u undastand it

erm what year was this animation made?

    dus any1 know?

  • Sweet, thx for posting

  • a sweeeeeeeettttttt storie, but things like this dont happen, there are no 100% honest men, oh well shakesphear wrote good literature thts the conclution

  • This was very interesting, and the speech intrigued me. I love old english. :)

I'm reading Dann Simmons's "Olympus", and it features characters from this play. I understand it better now...

  • I'm reading the Tempsest right now, and this was really helpful.

  • that guitar solo is so fuckin sick!!!

  • its a good play !!! and a good video! every one should see it :) (this is jack b note about it)

  • why does this pt 3 refuse to play????

  • it will play just click it once and then leave it to play don't pause it don't wait for it to buffer just click once good luck

  • im Norwegian, and i love a lot of Shakespeare's writings, but i think i love the tempest the most :)

its a wonderful play, and i hope someday to see it in the theater :P

"oh brave new world, thou who hast such people in it" i remember the quote from "brave new world" by Aldous Huxley too ^_^

  • Yes, the tempest is a good play. I will have to say either Richard III or A midsummers night dream' is the best.

About Brave new world, it was a strange book to read as a 12 year old. Nevertheless, it was a good book once I got the hang of the story!

  • @evilblades I know you may have seen it over these 2 years, but it is amazing to see this on stage, the atmosphere is incredible, and every adaptation I've seen incorporates all the elements of the play that make it so entertaining; from the sprites and nymphs right down to the thousand twanging instruments that hum about Caliban's ears :)

  • Thank you so much for posting this video, I remember watching this when it debuted some 13-14 years ago. Wonderful series well worth watching for those with a desire to get into Shakespeare.

  • Thank you for uploading :) enjoyed it and very helpful.

  • thanx very much m8 u helped me with my english project

  • maybe when you've passed pubity you'll be able to appreciate why people like it? or maybe just that people like things that you dont. crazy idea huh?

  • Useless comment, I suppose you failed your exam.

  • You do English, yet you have difficulty spelling. If I was you I'd spend less time in class being bored and pay attention.

It's popular for a reason. Look into the story, the speech and you're likely to gain something. If it's not your thing that's fine, but don't put it down for the sake of your ill-informed opinionnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn

  • this comment doesnt help anybody

  • there is tiny bit of the ending missing.

  • thx for uploading this
