wonderfully crafted, this is something I should have seen and enjoyed as a child...This is as entertaining and nice as it is culturally noble ! Too bad I had to watch ninja turtles and power rangers instead ! BWAAAAH !!!
I did really enjoy this. It helped me understand The Tempest better but I would have appreciated longer scenes sometimes. The play has much longer explanations and scenes which this version fails to reproduce.
These videos are terrific! I am studying for my college shakespeare final and it is over this play! This group of videos were great! They made the play more understandable and I actually get what is going on!! Thanks so much! You are doing a great service to many people.
i too want to extend my greastest thank u's to shakespeareanimated for uploading this movie, the play finally makes sense to me, not taking into comsideration that i wz so confused i did not complete reading the play in its extirety......THANK YOU!
I thought this was really good, very useful to anyone studying The Tempest. Very interesting portrayal of Caliban!! Hmmm. Wasn't big on the animation of Prospero though - he looked a bit like Jesus! Overall though, really helpful piece of work!
a sweeeeeeeettttttt storie, but things like this dont happen, there are no 100% honest men, oh well shakesphear wrote good literature thts the conclution
@evilblades I know you may have seen it over these 2 years, but it is amazing to see this on stage, the atmosphere is incredible, and every adaptation I've seen incorporates all the elements of the play that make it so entertaining; from the sprites and nymphs right down to the thousand twanging instruments that hum about Caliban's ears :)
Thank you so much for posting this video, I remember watching this when it debuted some 13-14 years ago. Wonderful series well worth watching for those with a desire to get into Shakespeare.

hahahahahahahahahaha we had to watch this in english, i thought i was gonna die of boredom. Why is this on youtube,it's the most boaring thing ever! it's shittttttttttttttttttttttttttttt
You do English, yet you have difficulty spelling. If I was you I'd spend less time in class being bored and pay attention.
It's popular for a reason. Look into the story, the speech and you're likely to gain something. If it's not your thing that's fine, but don't put it down for the sake of your ill-informed opinionnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn
epic guitar in the end XD

No hay nada que hacer que esta animación supera a todas la películas que se han hecho de ''The Tempest'', una obra maestra.

I like this Caliban even if it is one-dimensional. You can't expect much better from the Animated Tales.

I actually think that animation suits Shakeaspeare
And that guitar solo at the end is epic so melodic.

"oh brave new world, thou who hast such people in it" i remember the quote from "brave new world" by Aldous Huxley too ^_^
evilblades 3 years ago 12
Yes, the tempest is a good play. I will have to say either Richard III or A midsummers night dream' is the best.
About Brave new world, it was a strange book to read as a 12 year old. Nevertheless, it was a good book once I got the hang of the story!
