I Cant say David is better then Ray but he is better for Korn. Without The original members (Head & David) They just don't sound as good as they used to. But Ray is indefinitely an awesome drummer.

Ray is a great drummer, but he can't beat David's style in my eyes. When I heard KoRn for first time, I was absolutely amazed by the drums. I don't like CD's, where Ray plays as much as David's records. No doubt, that Ray is a brilliant drummer, it's just a matter of style.

No slam on Dave, great drummer, the original drummer for KoRn and that's to his credit, but Ray's precision/speed/execution/symm­etry/accuracy/technicallity is over the top. He has played with dozens of bands, taught at the MI institute, and has instructional DVD's out. Buy his Dvd and you will really see how amazing of a drummer he is. I was amazed. I learn something new everytime I watch it.

Ray is waaaaaay better than Dave. I've seen Korn several times with both drummers and Dave's meter was not that good at all. it's evident in their older DVD's as well. I have seen Ray play in several bands from Wicked Alliance (with jake e lee and mandy lion), to David Lee Roth, Army of Anyone to Korn. The dude is a monster player and humble. No rockstar attitude. He's not just a metal dude either. Check the stuff he's done with Japanese artists. DIVERSE!!!!

When I first heard of Ray I was amazed at how young and talented he is, then I wanted to see what band he was in to here how he did during songs with arrangements and all of that jazz. Then I see he's in Korn and I think to myself, "WTF"?

Cmon people, the two drummers are in a different class.

Ray is by FAR a better overall drummer than Dave. If you do no agree then you have no idea what a good drummer is.

However, Dave was really damn good as Korn's drummer. He is a great rock n roll drummer. Keeps a great grove, and moves the songs along while keeping a great base down. The man could keep a great 4/4 beat going and lay down a great foundation.

The fact is that Ray is Korn's drummer, period. God knows why.

Anybody that thinks that Ray is unoriginal or just filling a whole is entitled to that opinion but, you're simply wrong. Ray bringing his own style? Listen to his solo at the end of Goodbye by Army of Anyone. He has a great style, killer chops and is a natrually kick ass drummer. I've played over the years myself and would smile like hell to be doing what is doing the way he is doing it. If you're a hard core Silveria fan that's cool, he's good too. This guy is the real deal however.

david has a unique style that fits korn, luzier has better technique but his sound is not as unique and doesnt fit the hole silveria left because of his technique and personality, but he does the job and is a great drummer

Bozzio didn't leave because he's "too talented for Korn," Bozzio left because he immediately wanted a full share of Korn . . . to be a full 1/4 member of the band in terms of profits, when he hadn't even been around for the first 14 years . . . Korn essentially said, "well, that's too bad, but we're not ready to do that yet."

Korn changed rock. Not many other bands can say that.

Sorry but you have no clue, Ray could mimic anything David could do with one hand tied behind his back. The man is on a different level. However that is not to say he can be original like David, so keep that in mind. As a studio drummer, Ray is easiler better, by FAR, but in a live-day-to-day rock n roll band, perhaps Silveria can be more creative. (Doubt it though, sorry)
