  • We should always revisit the MASTERS this album got me through my teenage years and opened my mind to understanding that I DID NOT HAVE TO BE ALONE WITH MY PASSION FOR ABSTRACT AND POETRY.Creativity is the key too self expression and a healthy mind set.

  • I love the quaility where can I get the classic album?

  • i just did salvia listening to this and i was in the fucking jungle bro...

  • After all the !@#$%^&* of my day Pink Floyd makes my smile!!!!!! Thank you for the guys that don't fit! I love you

  • thanks for letting me know how this sounds. I own this picture disc. Its unopened and never will be opened.

  • I own this picture disc and its unopened and never will be

  • @MrMadcapLaugh super jelly

  • ur so lucky!

  • i've got it...this LP

  • love this song from the Lp: scick sciak....

  • @Darbyjack you can only hear the motor and snap, crackles and pops if your turntable and your records are cheap, mishandled pieces of sh*t.invest in some good quality, then take care of it.if you still love digital, you can have it,all of it.....picture discs aren't pressed for sound quality.

  • dude this the british version am i right?

  • sounds like acid!

  • This album makes me see the world in another way. Thanx for the upload!

  • People listen to vinyl, because, along with the crackle pops, moder production also removes all the air, the space, form the place where it was recorded. Once on comparing a cd to an old vinyl, & I could hear the the room, the auditorium: i swear I could hear the pillars i n the rauditorium. It was a

Alive -- next best thing to Live...worth the pops.

  • @Darbyjack It deals with the way it's pressed into the vinyl. It's scientifically superior sound quality! This disc must be a little dusty or old, so you get the crackles, yeah. When you buy an album new or remastered, it's fucking unparalleled. I just bought Judas Priests first album remastered a few weeks ago and it is the best quality sound I have ever fucking heard on vinyl or otherwise, it is unreal how great it sounds..

  • @LiveVinyl

It would have most likely have been remastered using digital software and equipment, resulting in the final product to have a sample-rate, making the vinyl version a bit meaningless, since it is reproducing something a CD can do, but not quite as good.

  • @Darbyjack

Valid point. When you listen to vinyl, there's a depth that is *not* there, that *cannot* be reproduced on any other medium. I mean I own more mp3s than anything else but I can tell the difference between a really good quality mp3 and a nice, clean record. That depth, that's what really sends it out of the park. It's this sense of soul, you know? It's warmer. Also, by default, analog allows you to do a lot more faithful to the original recording(except for deep deep bass sometimes)

  • @PostToastie

Yeah but the audio from YouTube is always at a compressed bit-rate. On top of that, the audio is sampled at 44Khz, meaning it's impossible to get that true wave sound from your vinyl.

  • one favorite pink floyd album !!!!!!!! and im 20 year old i hate my generation !!!!!!!!

  • Dude...how many picture discs do you have? I love these videos!

  • i had a chance to listen to the wall on vinyl very much different listening to on a zune.the tone and pitch is more correct on a vinyl

  • awesome band... somewhat recently discovered my love for Pink Floyd, and now i cant get enough

  • WOW! Oh my GOD! This sounds ecstatic, orgasmic. Vinyl is the best. Real noise, all the overtones, the real tones, everything. It is organic! LOL!

  • @kanzosupremo mono was the original! the stereo mix was made later by some studio people and not by pink floyd.

  • ALBUM DE 1967

  • Wow, East Bay Rays bread and butter, right on.

  • I have three of those picture Disc, The piper at the Gates of dawn, The Wall, and Animals, very cool records.

    fuckin shame :[

    thats awesome your lucky

  • bands today need to rediscover this music.

  • What is a picture disc?

  • a picture disc? Just have a look at the video! It is a vinyl record which isn't black. It has, as the name says, a picture on it. They are often very rare. Normally they are 180 gram vinyl.

  • Well I thought it was more of a video disc, sorry.

  • one of the greatest albums ever (indeed it's my number one)

  • good weed

  • listened to this album in full for the first time yesterday now it's my favourite album

  • damn. I want some vinyl!

    awesome picdisc.

To me, the stereo's glossier, yet still cool, and the mono is so much crazier and kickass!

    Viva vinyl!

  • I own this on vinyl as well. I however own the original print, off the shelves in 1968, the one in mono. I prefer it much more. Mine doesn't have the awesome picture on it like yours.

  • I've got a CD Collector's edition with stereo and mono. I'm looking for the LP now, but in the stores you only fin the stereo, but I think the mono is the true original. Don't know who had the idea to put this crazy effect at the end of Interstellar Overdrive.

  • I would give anything to have the vinyl mono version!

  • @robertlefebvre .... Amazon .com?

  • @ente1993 was mono the original mixing? or was it that they sold both mixes at the same time

  • that part starting at 1:50 gets me everytime!!

  • Thank you very very much

  • Roger showed a picture disk on a big screen the first time I saw him in concert. Think it was something to do with "Money" the track on "Dark Side Of The Moon" - mind you, arn't most things (to do with money) in this world?!

  • I have the 40th Anniversary mixes. The mono mixes are the coolest thing ever. You get to hear things that aren't on the stereo mix of the album. I would buy more vinyls of Floyd. I have The Wall, and a japanese bage transparent vinyl of A Saucer Full of Secrets. I got all these for 20 bucks a pop.

  • Thanks for this brilliant collection, sitting here listening with my top notch headphones on and drinking a cold beer. Pink Floyd, outstanding. Ray.

  • : )

  • nice! :D

  • Im Hypnotized.

  • One of my favorite albums. :)

Did sid write any of the material on the second album?

  • Jugband blues was written by Syd and he did play on a few of the other songs on that second album.

  • Thanks. :)

  • @Rafaelpicc

Syd played on about half the second lp and had more input into it than most people know at the moment.

  • @Rafaelpicc tripiin balls for about 20 yeras and lovin it

  • Thanks for sharing this with us. Used to take picture discs for granted, now i see some people have never seen one and I realise how long it's been. That and the Doors-ish hammond organ are really making me think I must be getting old.

  • Not all of us

Ive got some picture discs that I don't let people touch cos they're so special.

Haha. I'm 13. I might take records too seriously, but it's definitely a better way to hear this kind of music, so I've got only records...

And hammonds kick ass. Farfisas are pretty nice too. Hooray.

  • Vinyl Is The Best

    CD sucks

By The Way I Have Delicate Sound Of Thunder On Vinyl.
