@TheTartopum76 I don't think a properly prepared rotary will be any less reliable than a piston engine. To be honest, seeing that it has less moving parts, it's possible that it'll be more reliable. It won the 24 hours of Le Mans on its first (and only - blame the FIA) outing. As for longevity on the other hand, it would probably would not last as long as a piston engine (assuming similar specific output of course).

That said, the 26b sounds bad ass and is more original than an LS.
@nipponbaka If you're comparing to a piston engine you have to double that. To calculate the displacement of a piston engine you have to take all the combustion cycles into account. A piston engine takes TWO revolutions of the crankshaft to accomplish this. When people (Mazda included) figure the displacement of a rotary engine they only figure one of the rotors combustion cycles (.65L) or ONE revolution of the eccentric shaft.

All 4 rotors are not created equally. These engines cannot be brought as a crate. They are 100% one off custom made. The parts that are used in this rotary determines the total power output. Getting one of these built starts off @ 40k alone! Its super expensive to build and rebuild.

I will say this, pedal to the floor free reving, my wankel doesn't rev rediculous fast. Throttle response isn't what i'd call "instant". It could also be in the tune. Hard to say. Pulse performance knows what they're doing though and mad mikes 4 rotor fd is hands down my favorite rotary powered car ever. Hands down.
interesting engine setup...not really a fan of the front cover being used...theres a reason it was changed in 93, it would have been better to upgrade the tone ring and gotten a better sensor setup then used the FC crank angle sensor
It is clearly seen that this car has no turbo, or turbo's. It is obvious that this engine has four individual throttle bodies, each with their own filter, and you would see the turbo if it had one.
Unfortunately this awesome car has terrible wheels. Why would someone waste their time putting giant chrome wheels on a performance vehicle? Also what is with the stretched tires? The wheels and tires are a joke.

This engine is naturally aspired, the only way you can get an engine like this is building it from the ground up. PPRE is the best in rotary mechanics.

@DaftPACman It could be what gear it was in. I have no idea.
I will say this, pedal to the floor free reving, my wankel doesn't rev rediculous fast. Throttle response isn't what i'd call "instant". It could also be in the tune. Hard to say. Pulse performance knows what they're doing though and mad mikes 4 rotor fd is hands down my favorite rotary powered car ever. Hands down.

interesting engine setup...not really a fan of the front cover being used...theres a reason it was changed in 93, it would have been better to upgrade the tone ring and gotten a better sensor setup then used the FC crank angle sensor

It is clearly seen that this car has no turbo, or turbo's. It is obvious that this engine has four individual throttle bodies, each with their own filter, and you would see the turbo if it had one.
Unfortunately this awesome car has terrible wheels. Why would someone waste their time putting giant chrome wheels on a performance vehicle? Also what is with the stretched tires? The wheels and tires are a joke.

your stupidity amazes me and yes if you arent scared look it up and i encourage any retard who thinks this is turboed to do the same i also think you should learn the difference between a radiator and an intercooler and that sound you hear at 3:43 to 3:48 is the rear tire squeeling when it contacts the rear roller on the dyno after he lets off. If you are half the genious you think you are explain to us all where you can find the turbocharger on this car. class is in sesison ill be waiting
