HI, my boyfriend is an incomplete c5 c6, he can move his arms well after 3 months but no fingers, he has feeling all over his body. do u have movement in fingers? we have not been told what might happen yet...charlie

Sorry to hear about that, charlie. I wish you both the best. My fingers on my left hand are all working. They are not as strong as the used to be and there's a lot of numbing and buzzing, but they work. My right hand doesn't have any dexterity in the fingers. I can use my hand to grip things that aren't too small, too big, or too heavy, but I cannot type or work a pen or pencil. 3 months is still way early to tell. Keep a positive attitude and do everything your therapists tell you! best of luck

Hey my name is hanna and im 14 and im a c5 incomplete n my accident was august 19 and i still dont cant move my right foot and hand. but i can walk with a walker. my left side came back though. did any of this happen to you?

I'm sorry to hear about your accident... to answer your question, Yes! That's exactly what happened to me. As you can see in the video, I re-learned to walk in water because of how great the water resitance is in building your muscles. I progressed to a walker, then a cane, and now nothing. I can't run or anything... but is sure beats a wheelchair! If you're interested, I can tell you all the help aids I used that helpped in the begining, and the ones I still use. Let me know!

Broke my C5/C6 20 years ago last march riding a dirt bike. Spent 3 months in a halo and 2 in a philadelphia. Was a sophomore at Kansas State University. Went back to school with the Halo on. The first day back to class was interesting. I had a good roommate that helped me. The hardest part for me was not being able to drive. Glad your Ok.

I still used a cane for a month. Once i got my toe off blue rocker AFO ( allardusa dot c o m), it was nothin but progress after that! You should, if you haven't already, look into Kinesio Taping (kinesiotaping dot c o m) I can use my right tricep again, and i'm completely free of my leg brace because of this tape. My chiropractor is lisenced in KT taping. Physical therapists use it a lot too.

It was 3 months. How are you doing now? How long has it been? I'm a C5-C6 incomplete.
