  • NO! idiot. The dog is going to bite it's tongue. DAH!

  • it worked

  • he has defo tried to read the cesarmillan books and cani just say HE DOSNT HIT DOGS ANYWWHERE ON THE FACE!

  • im gonna get a pit.. and i dont want my dog to be scared of me

  • amazing how much stupid poop eating people comments here. Stop comparing dogs with human babies. and please learn to differ between a small nudge and beating. its two different things.

  • One of my dogs accidentally hit her mouth from under the chin and she bit her tongue seriously. It was terrible! I can see that this can cause a dog to bite the tongue which is terribly painful for the dog. Just yelp like another dog would do! Do not hit your dog!

  • Terrible, backwards, outback advice.

I'm no dog trainer, but would you yell back at your kid if he/she yelled at you, no. And if you do, you're just teaching your child that the bigger asshole wins. You're teaching your dog that if it uses a physical response greater than the others (other dogs, humans) it wins. That dog will become the bully of it's group, excluding the trainer. When you do things without thinking of the outcomes, you get the job done, but then you have a mess to clean up.

  • @DirtyHarrelson

dogs aren't humans, you can't compare the two

  • All your doing is teaching that poor dog to be scared of your hand!! It's not about treating a dog like a child or like a dog, it's called animal cruilty!! Pretty messed up your taunting the dog just so you can abuse it! JERK!!!!

  • Oh I feel for you mate. All these haters on your page. I haven't seen that technique before, but I will definitly put it in my tool box. Thank you.

There is a time and place for every technique.

  • isnt that cruel??

  • You are a horrible person.

For starters, in order to make these videos you are encouraging negative behaviour and then punishing them for it.

Secondly, can you not see how scared that dog is of you. You are not being the alpha dog here you are just being a bully.

Please learn some real, human training techniques based on the saying "Reward good behaviour and ignore bad behaviour."

  • U abuse dogs:(((

  • Yeah it shouldn't be emotional, why is that dog cowering then, eh? Stupid.

  • Thats a dick way to stop a dog from biting! That poor dog is afraid you idiot, you know nothing about how to train a dog. The more afraid those dogs are the more dangerous they become. Try being more gentle with them and not hitting them, work my my dog just fine. I never once had to hit my dog for bitting. Hell you can use a water bottle and squirt them and say no.

  • That's not being dominant, that's being a tyrant. Hurt other dogs is what an insecure dog does. A dominant dog doesn't need to hurt others to get the to obey.

  • That is not the way to teach a dog. I've never seen a dog hit another dog under the chin, therefore it is unnatural, and while it might work, it certainly won't make the dog any happier.

  • Epic fail

  • this is badd advice, never hurt your dog or it wont respect you

  • this works

  • You have no idea what you're doing.

  • Really?!?! You encourage the dog to rough house with you, to put it's mouth on you and then hit it under the chin for DOING what you ENCOURAGED the dog to do!

That big, muscular dog was CRINGING at your feet after it was hit, clearly that is more then just a "light tap". I can only imagine how hand shy that dog is going to be now. I never want my dogs to fear my hands.

People please go else where for dog training advice. Some where that doesn't encourage hitting your dog.

  • @chowchow155 and what advise do u have to offer because my dog clearly is not hand dhy and he has stop biting since i start using this method. i dont hit him i use my hand to close hit mouth and it works!!!

  • @chowchow155 Don't get me wrong, I don't agree with this either. But just because the dog is cringing doesn't automatically mean that it was hurt. It can mean that it was just surprised or that it doesn't want you to hit it harder.

  • this and he dominance roll messed my dogs up through positive re inforcement I got my dog to stop all biting and mouthing behavior and have a well trained dog

  • yeah may not then bit you!!! lolol

  • what happens when the dog says "maybe if i chomp my hardest and rip his hand off, i wont get the Mike Tyson uppercut anymore." hmmmmm lol

  • @burubura if your puppy does not respond well to the under the chin thing try the flick on the nose, it worked for me

  • anyone who thinks this is rough to dogs are idiots.... and they should see how the dogs mothers learn them not to bite..

  • did any one here spank there children when they were naughty? its axactly the same, i donot consider this cruel it is a part of diciplin and the dog needs to be shown that you are in the driving seat not them. however i do not accept abuse of power by a dog owner eg brutality. but a firm hand is needed when training a big or relentless dog.

  • i tried ur style but my puppy becomes more aggressive n keep on biting...

  • @burubura you have to do it and give the dog a firm NO. but constantly. the problem i was having at first was i would give him the chin bump and my wife would let him nibble on her hand so when me and my wife start doing it the dog started to learn but u have to include the firm no or what ever stop word u have in place

  • fail

  • what an ugly name

  • if a dog bites me ill fucken kick it and if attacks i will kick its litlle fagget ass

  • @sk8li

Lol said like a true dog trainer!!

  • What lousy advice! This is a good way to induce defensive aggression.

  • If you try that on a big powerful dog, could it get mad and bite you if you bop them under the chin like that?

  • Terrible....why would you treat a dog like that? That is absolutely the worst advice I have ever seen on how to train a dog not to bite. The absolute worst.

  • all u have to do is close ur dogs mout with your hands for 15 seconds and say NO! very loud and they will stop then give them a toy o chew on...

  • @bluegama500

Wow...psycho. Some people should not be allowed to own pets or even be near them.

  • trusty me.i am the best pet owner YOU will ever across

  • Wow that's like punting it on the jaw. Definately a lot more physical than the choke method I used on my puppy. if it bit me I would just force my fingers into its mouth until it gagged on my fingers. It deterred him perfectly and makes my dog willingly stop. This method of hitting it on the underside also pushes Dominance, as you tap the dog on the underside of the mouth to force your dominance. but hey, if it works for you, it works for you.

  • @bluegama500

lol, what a load of crap. Pleasae, I encourage you to have more arguments with 'yourtube retards', or a dog trainer who does not teach you to beat your dog. It might save your dog from a life of cruelity. what harm would it listen to both sides of the story or try both methods? Then you decide what works best for you.

  • What a dickhead, if he ever does that to my dog, I'd fire him the same instant. Guys, please check out other methods thar are more effective and not abusive. There are plenty of them. You yelp and scream at the dog with a sharp tone, you can leave the room and stop playing...there are just SO MANY other methods that don't involve abuse or physical direct challange to the dog's strength. Pack leader means good leadership skills, not organized abuse and cruelity.

  • @bluegama500

To explain this to a simple-minded person like yourself: if kids mibehave, you can ground them, or you can beat them. In both cases, you'll get immediate results. However, if you ground them then later explain why, you'll gaurantee long term results based on love and respect. If you beat them, they'll stop out of fear, until they grow up to be strong enough to beat you. there are other methods based on the dog's instincts that are less cruel and idiotic than beating it.

  • What ever!!!!!!!!!!!!! You should NEVER touch a dog to train them. Just make a yelping noise like a puppy would to let them know that they hurt you. Its that damn simple. people like you are the reason people dont want their dogs because they dont do i right!! And for Bluegama500, tht is insain! You should not own a dog or children for that matter you dont want your dog scared of you and kicking i the ribs or at all is abusive because you could break a rib ASS FACE!! I hope you burn in hell!!!!!

  • There's a proud gradute of Michael Vick's Dog Training Academy... bop him under the chin.. really??

  • LOL -- as would YOU if someone bopped YOU!!! I totally disagree with this nut case.

  • I try positive reinforcement and all i get is like a big middel finger from my dog ,even dog candy he is like nah .

So any way that is practical still beter then a dog chewing your hands off .

There are more ways to train a dog then 1way cuse it works for you .

  • hey dogtrainer, mavaffanculo!

  • This guy is a GOOD trainer. Finally someone who understands dog obedience.

  • thats animal cruelty

  • People PLEASE ignore this ignorant man. He knows not what he says -- I promise. There is absolutely NO EXCUSE FOR BOPPING YOUR DOG or hitting him for ANY reason - use reward denial - your dog wants you, wants to play - find videos that focus on praise and reward denial - this guy is a NUT - i'D LOVE TO BOP HIM A TIME OR TEN

  • lol shut up please, dogs need discipline,he didnt even hit it hard,i hit my dogs when they used to bite and now thye behave very well and are friendly but not submissive,im not gonna be weak and girly with them and take anything from them,if they bite me i'll punch their face

  • Thankfully, at least according to responses here, you "dog beaters" LOL are in the minority. I've trained hundreds of dogs and never had a good reason to hit any of them - to each his own in training, however, there are just better ways of asserting yourself as a leader and dominant figure than bopping your dog. In my experience, it almost always makes them more aggressive - I am sure there are exceptions but I try to adhere to the rule - don't hit your dog.

  • it doesnt make them aggressive aggressive, only if you abuse them but that is a different thing, the easiest way is to hit them HARD or kick them in the ribs like i do and im like "dont fucken bite me!get in your bed!" and it zooms straight to its bed and doesnt come out for like an hour, but when it comes out i pat it.i also hit them if they destroy stuff i dont go "aw so cute" i go "look what you fucken did!" or if they rip out my plants i kick them also

  • That's really not something you should be admitting too. The poor dog needs to be taken away from you, disgusting behaviour!

  • or sometimes i kick them in the rubs if they piss me off,its not animal abuse, this shows how you dont know how a dog thinks, they dont think like a person and say "he kicked me!thats abuse!" they think "oh crap he kicked me for doing that,im not gonna mess with him,and nw i am confident with him being the leader because he can defend me"

  • @bluegama500

Actually, he's going to be thinking "ok, I better stop now before he does it again, what a dickhead, maybe that's how you prove dominance, I should try to dominate his children, or his cats, or the neighbour's children, or the neighbour's cat, or try to bite him when I get the chance, or....or....".

  • Thier are so many other(BETTER) methods to stop mouthing and biteing that don't involve even touching the dog!

That's just a quik fix that does not last and the dog just becomes scared of you... scared to bite, he should WANT to not bite you! I can't believe you are a trainer

  • you do relize he didn't hurt that dog it is only the sound that the dog doesn't like geez just take a pill and calm down

  • thanks dude.. this really is working so far, my dog use to bite my hand every time i reach out to it but now it kinda stopped doing it XD....

  • its hard to make my pitbull puppy to stop biting, if you tap her on the head she'll get angry and start to bit any part of your body that moves.

  • Let me "CHUCK" your chin...let see how you like it.

  • oh my gosh.. dont do tht ppl plz thts just mean! now i hate expert village b/c of tht vid.. oh my gossh thts mean

  • idiot

  • i have a very snappy pup and even a smack on the bum would bring him back snapping at your hand. this method was very effective and the couple of times you use this method will save your puppy from getting continuous, unnecessary smacks which it doesn't deserve.

  • ur an asshole dude

  • DOG ABUSE!

  • I use shock- and/or ultrasound collars.

  • this is good trying to traine your dog not to bite anything . . .

  • and shes not gonna like it well no shit u just hit her fucking dumb shit.......

  • LMAO!

  • stefka122 u r a pussy he didnt hit the dog

all he did was close her mouth shut .....

  • You lost me at "vibrate her brain."

  • shoryuken!

  • @nchung4 LMFAO!!!

  • thats K9 abuse if I ever saw one LOL

  • someone should taunt you so bad until you blow a fuse and then karate chop your head for reacting!

  • u can make ur training unemotional , but it doesnt have to harmful for the dog

besides, dogs get emotional towards the owner, otherwise he/she wont take risks for u just for fun or being stupid

    it because they love u

there is a lot more other techniques better than "VIBRATING" their brain

  • this is the most effective though. My dog snaped at me and cut me bad when she was a puppy, i gave her one hell of a good smack, and she hasnt bitten, snapped or groweled at me ever since. and shes 12 now. Yellig can work, but it takes alot longer and its more emotional. its not cruel at all. Cruel is when you keep on doing it over and over, smacking them once to teach them a lesson is really the correct way to train a dog.

  • thats ok....but only if u have tried other was and didnt work and ran out of choices... then u do it to make the dog stop

i think that way is fare for u and the dog

becuase if it didnt learn by the less harmfull ways then its like a spoiled 12 yo kid... u turn to the final solution and be harsh on'em

    dont u agree?

  • yah that is ture.

  • it not abuse]

  • This is Bad !

  • The problem is that people play with dogs when THEY want to,and not when the dog wants to...So they play agressively with the dog,and the dog's not allowed to used IT'S retrieval/grab tool(mouth).Kind of an unfair game,if your honest..Look,please stop play slapping dogs,it makes them want to MOUTH you, people. And Chucking dogs during play tells them to STOP playing, and BE MY BI--H,NOW! I can't believe you don't see it.The first thing you said was right. But,if you hit her,SHE becomes all emotional

  • People often mistakes dogs with humans, they are not like us, they can't understand with words, you cant say "please puppy don't bite me, that's just rude" you have to be dominant if they don't respect you, and that's the truth, just like nature designed to be, animals use force to solve their problems, and it's foolish to think that it can be otherwise.

Of course, if you have a peaceful dog, that responds with treats, awesome!, but if not, you have to teach him by any means necessary.

  • Look at how he slinks down and shuts down. You encourage play then punish it?! That's stupid! Keep it up and you'll teach the dog to really bite you.

  • thats abuse!!!!

  • this guy is an idiot my uncle has a jack russel and he has never once hit the dog and i mean never layed a hand on it and this dog is the smartest dog i've seen the dog can sit, lay down, circle, roll over, turn on a light, play dead, count, stay, play hide and seek, retrieve, catch, just everything you can teach the dog anything and there is no need to hit it

  • Well aslong as you AVOID hitting him when his tounge is out and u don't karate chop the crap out of them it will show results with older dogs but not long term this is a puppy neglection trick to use on them...

  • can i do that to my puppy. He's been biting me to much.

  • why is everybody so scared omg ur dog wont die if u do that he isnt a little mouse for gods sake and u dont have to do it that hard

  • This is Wrong! This guy is a tool! He has no idea what he is doing! That poor dog needs a new trainer! I hope someone "pops" you next time your having fun for no reason!

  • the dog looks depressed

  • your an fuckin idiot , what happends if his tongues out , you just ripped apart his whole mouth , your a dumbass . maybe someone should POP you under the chin

  • what an awfull video, you are not training anything, you are just hurting your dog.

  • if u ignore my dog for months he'll still mess up everything you have.

  • YOU ARE A HUGE AHOLE!!!!!!!!!This vid should be pulled off! You are teaching nothing you idiot!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • So this "trainer" ENTICES and ENCOURAGES the dog to play with his HANDS and then SMACKS the dog when he does exactly what the guy wants? How insane! Encourage the dog to mouth your hands and then hit her because she's doing what you wanted... how about the yelp and ignore instead. Or play with a toy, not your hands. Dogs are social, they want to play with you. If you end the play session when the dog is getting too mouthy, the dog will want to change behavior to get you to play again.

  • you are training from The Dark Ages. You obviously cannot read the dogs body language. Do you actually think this method will have a long term benefit.? I doubt it. This shows what You Tube will allow. Unfortunately some people will believe in your methods. How sad.

  • Teaching your dog through punishment especially if "she's not gonna like it" only teaches her that hands are bad things. This dog is clearly fearful based on how body language - low posture, tucked down head, sneezing, averted eyes, very appeasing. How are you missing these signals and how do you get away with first provoking this dog to bite, then punishing it for something natural. I feel sorry for the dogs and owners.

This is a very disappointing clip & should be removed- it promotes abuse.

  • this all seems like a bad idea. it doesn't seem like it'd be healthy for the dogs teeth. and if you punish your dog physically, it will resent you, if you deprive it of attention then it will just love you more when it does something right and you reward it, you want your dog to seek attention and rewards not fear correction.

  • Wow. What an asshole.

  • Seriously, what kind of trainer uses physical punishment? I've never hit any one of my dogs for any reasons in any way... ever. All 4 of my dogs behave wonderfully. There's obviously much much much MUCH better techniques.

  • Please don't hit your dog. It's quite easy to get a dog to stop mouthing. When your dog's teeth touch your skin, YELP like a dog. High pitched and loud. Yelp as if it hurt really bad. Then turn away from the dog and ignore the dog for several minutes. This will teach the dog that when it puts its mouth on people, it will be ignored.

This is how puppies/mother dogs teach their littermates/offspring that what they are doing is unacceptable.

    Seriously. Don't hit your dog.

  • That's an ignorant statement. Puppies and mother dogs do not teach their littermates/offspring that what they are doing is unacceptable through yelping and ignoring . . .they bite and correct. What this guys is doing would not be the way that I would go about correcting my dog for something, but ignoring a problem does not make it go away. I had a sweet little lab puppy that I tried the method you stated with, and she got 100x worse. If you knew anything about dogs you would know that.

  • Actually, the statement above about yelping and ignoring is 100% correct and not ignorant (they do this during feeding if a puppy bites on the teat too hard)...but your statement about biting to correct is also right. Mother dogs do BOTH. Remember, every dog is different so we must adjust to each as needed. I do agree with the statement that the method depicted in this video is not one I would personally use. I'm having difficulty understanding the reasoning behind hitting the dog.

  • And for clarification, I believe that when the term "ignore" is used, it refers to the dog, NOT the problem. By ingoring the dog, you are depriving it of what it wants at that point in time...attention. Executed properly, I haven't had a dog that didn't respond to this method of bite prevention yet. And BTW I do know a thing or two about dogs and biting...I train police K-9's.

  • Biting a teat too hard and biting during play/rough housing or for aggressive purposes are two different things. And of course "ignoring" refers to the dog, but by not correcting the dog you are also ignoring the problem. I'm glad that this method has worked for you, but it is definitely not fool proof . . . and from the number of problems I have seen arise from ignoring dogs/behavior that should be corrected, I would never recommend ignoring behaviors or the dog.

  • Of course they're 2 different things. Try keeping your comments to the topic at hand. No where in the video does it show an aggressive dog. The video discusses a "mouthy" dog or a "puppy that's biting." In this case, ignoring the dog IS the correction. If YOU knew a thing or two about dogs, you would know that.

  • I've worked with numerous dogs using the "ignore bad behavior" method. This has worked for me in stopping multiple dogs that jump, bite, and bark. That being said, I agree that in some cases, correcting your dog with a touch of some sort may work, but this isn't the way to do it. I feel like the video above is irresponsible. Puppies have delicate skulls and jaws and I fear that someone will end up breaking their puppy's jaw.

  • Dude, you need to relax...You're absolutely right..But,then so is he.Remeber there are two types of dogs.Dominant and Submissive,by nature...Completely ignoring her in your case was wrong, obviously.A sharp NO,giving the dog a proper chew toy,and completely discontinuing play works also. Not every mama bites a naughty pup. Some bare down on them with mouth paws and body weight(without actually biting at all)to intimidate them. And others DO yelp. All dogs are NOT created equal.Man made them that way.

  • DO NOT DO THIS TO YOUR DOG!!!

1stoff, think of it this way. if this guy was a good dog trainer, he would of found a dog that mouthed to begin with, and not ENTICED the dog to mouth him by playing with his mouth, of all things.

2nd,your hitting his teeth together, probably not good.

3rd,in order for it to reverberate the dogs head, you have to impact his chin, followed by his teeth impacting, hard enough to bother a dog?? come on, this is a VERY QUESTIONABLE method! there are much better ways.
