Lovin the blues. You make some good use out of that Big Baby. Had mine for over 3 years now (the one made in Mexico) and I loved it. Just sold it to a friend of mine since I upgraded to a 214ce. @lorenzino1 You will not find a Big Baby model with a pickup already installed in it unless you are buying one that has an aftermarket pickup installed in it from a private seller. It is made from sapele laminate which is not as high quality as solid wood. Solid woods come on higher end guitars
Taylors are just fantastic guitars. I have a 210 and for the money it is a high quality instrument. Adding a fishman passive pickup works wonders. I imagine that the same in a big baby would have the same effect. The fishman is not too expensive and can be removed easy enough. Also the input jack goes through the strap stud so it does not effect the look of the guitar. Its a no brainer give it a go, you wont regret it.
Hi ! I've watched this video, a had listened well, and I have 2 questions to ask to you : I got a friend that have a Big Baby, acoustic, and I was asking myself if there was some Big Baby that are electric- acoustics (the ones that I've played with were only acoustics)? And is there a solid top on those guitars? My friend's guitar made me want to buy one, cause it sounds well, but I'd like to be able to plug it when I need. Thks by advance for your answer (if you got some time).Interesting video
Can someone please explain the difference in the models for the taylor big baby (306-GB, 307-GB, BBT) because I've wanted one of these guitars but can't decide if I should get an older model or save up for the newer ones...PLEASE HELP!
I've researched this myself and the only answer I have found is in how they were shipped to the retailer. The 306 GB was shipped in pairs while the 307 GB was shipped singly, otherwise they are identical. Oh, and find one with Made in El Cajon, California inside if you can. The new ones are made in Mexico now.
I got this guitar a week ago! Believe him, its incredible! The back reverberates the bass tone soooo well! Best acoustic out there in my opinion! Fantastic action without alteration need at all!
Hey!Other Taylor owners!Do you keep getting Elixer strings or replace them with another make when they need changed!I sometimes try other makes but always end up going back but i would be interested to know if anybody`s found a make that suits the Taylor as well or better!Peace ye`all!PS.Anybody tried Rotosound?
i absolutely love my big baby taylor! for a guitar that costs 200/400 pounds, it blows some 1000 pound guitars completely out of the water as regards to sound quality!

did you change the strings on this guitar?
dubowski1803 3 years ago
i got this guitar used for 200 a few years ago. What i like to do is to tune down a whole step to D - makes an acoustic like that real easy to play.

Is the bass response really that good or did you EQ it after recording?
