Dude, i have a 98 rs too...my advice to you: sell it asap if u can and get a 99...or do an STi swap. the DOHC engine in the 98 blows head gaskets at around 110-120k miles. Mine did today...looks like i'm gonna be drinking tonight lol.
Might have been, but I've heard bad things about that DOHC engine. I like to think it was the engine's fault and not my own lol, but it was probably a combination of both.
No it was my complete Ignorance, after I read your comment, I did some major research, and Found out about the Head gaskets, Thanks, If wasnt for your comment I wouldve bein blind folded from all the Propganda of the car and not the truth behind it all. Now that I know, im prepared for the worse. Do you still have the car?
I've still got it. I got some heavy duty head gaskets installed on it after mine blew. But yeah, the DOHC Legacy 2.5 engine was a lemon of an engine. My advice: swap an ej20 turbo engine in there lol.

bought my 98rs @ 90someK
new block @125K.
alother new block @ 185K
once more and im going to less displacement
btw, bad motor mounts>? that rocks pretty hard

Nope. This engine has split headers like bmw motorcycles. This is a horizontal 4 cyl.

I have this car, and I have a swap. There is only one header. Unless he's running a custom set up where he has true duals there is only one header.
