  • This is the best video about tossing pizza dough. However if you don't know how to make the dough like him it will just break apart. His dough is so strong even when its SUPER thin if you try to do this at home with your dough I can almost bet your going to end up with holes in the middle or the middle being so much thinner then outside. These professionals know how to make a good strong dough which I very certain uses a special type of flour. It would be great to show how to make this dough!

  • Hi I was really inspired by your video. I have been having a lot of difficulty though. I keep getting a triangle shape instead of a circle and it seems like it shrinks really fast and I frequently get holes. I can't control that my hands hit the thick part of the dough.

    Then when I cook it the crust is too soft and you have to use a knife and fork. I like those crusts that have a little starch. I've been using all-purpose flour. Thanks.

  • @mswateverr Thanks for the compliment. Some of my best writing ends up unrecognized, unrewarded... like being on the film crew for big TV commercials, when I suggest a funny line or stunt for the commercial, then they actually film it and it wins a Clio Award, but it's the ad agency and director that get the praise. Yes, it sucks.

  • Every time I make pizza dough it doesn't stretch. It falls apart when I toss it.

  • That's not a problem with your tossing, it's a problem with your dough. Make sure it's kneaded correctly and for the right amount of time, a well-made pizza dough should not break when tossing and should stretch easily. Use high-gluten flour like Bread flour and knead thoroughly (not too much or your pizza will be tough).
