I believe that the Tomcast was retired due to its age and fleetwide maintenance costs. It was over 30 years old, and was getting very expensive to maintain and keep airborne.
what a sad time in military history that the idiots in charge retire one of the most awsome fighters in the world... she will always be the best of the best...
