  • Hello. Im going to build this amp. Can you send me your layout or schematic?. And some sound test with Slash settings: presence-8, bass-7, middle-7, treble-4,5, outputmaster-push-in 6, lead master-10, imput gain 6,5? Please, mp3 enough. This very important for me.

  • When you add the delay, at around the 3:07 mark, is that someone else's tune you're playing? Very pretty! Really nice setup and nice playing!!! Thanks

  • @theartist124 its a melody I wrote.

  • hey im thinkin about getting a nova system and a ceriatone 2555 what do you think about both?

  • @Bougettemichael love them both man!! that's what you are hearing here, and it's awesome. get the 2555 modded by trace @ voodoo though. the mercury magnetics transformers / choke / and general mods he does are amazing on this amp

  • and what were your settings if you remember? thanks!

  • how well would you say this amp does the slash live tone? it sounds awesome though, i can really hear bonamassa type sounds

  • Hi again!! :) What kind of Mercury Magnetics output / power transformers and choke do you put in the amp?

    Tom

  • @tomrogermarkas Custom Voodoo Amps power / output transformers and choke. Mercury makes them to Trace's specs. They are just plain amazing! :)

  • @aeroic78 Thanks for answering!!! What do you mean by "Trace's specs"?? :) Sorry. My English isnt to good!!

  • @tomrogermarkas I had Trace Davis @ Voodoo Amps do the transformer installation. He has custom specified transformers built from Mercury Magnetics.

  • @aeroic78 Ok!! Thanks again!!!

  • Hi. Do you use the hotplate?? Does it help to get the sweetspot on the amp.?

Amazing sound!!!!! (Have a Cereiatone HRM 100 and LOVE IT!!!)

  • @tomrogermarkas I don't use the Hot Plate in this video. I only use it when I integrate the Ceriatone 2555 w/ my Marshall JMP-1 and 9200 amp rig. i have a Voodoo Amps STL-1 which converts the speaker out to line level, which goes into a preamp loop in my rig. Allows me to get the sound of the 2555 preamp and power amp section. Use the Hot plate only as a load for the amp, since the 2555 wouldn't be connected to a speaker load in this config. I use a Aracom speaker attenuator to lower volume

  • sounds amazing, thanks for the clip, helping me decide if i should get one of these bad boys

  • @Jpalmieri4 I would. I absolutely love it! :)

  • I was wondering why you 've gone to the Jmp1 as the preamp with this head? Is it to be able to make instant tonal changes on the fly...or is it so you can have a nicer clean sound? I would think having a way to toggle between the two would be the ultimate set up...this head sounds about a good as you get. How's the touch sensitivity for lead playing?

  • @Scooterjohnn I use the JMP-1 with my Marshall 9200 mainly, but it is in the shop at the moment. Touch sensitivity is really really good.

  • what did you use to record this? :D

  • @Kitarist88 I used a Zoom Q3

  • sounds fantastic, what do you think would be best for both rhythm and lead (eric johnson sounds), a ceriatone super lead plexi or a silver jubilee ?

  • @fend14 Plexi will be more Eric Johnson....Silver Jubilee will be more Joe Bonamassa

  • Man that amp sounds incredible! amazing tones and nice playing as well. Great vid!

  • @oceantidestudio thanks man. i'm VERY pleased with this amp. It has stood next to a lot of other great amps (Bogners, CAE, Egnater, Soldano, etc.) and for me it has beat ALL of them. I just love this amp. It's never leaving my sight!

  • holy cow.... even a real jub doesn't sound this good..

  • @ahmadaz96001 I'm a jubilee lover...and this is the best "jubilee sounding" amp I've every played. Definitely agree with you!

  • Hi man, amp´s drive or Nova´s drive? regards!

  • @VelhosNovos Nova is only used in the loop for effects. It's all the drive from the 2555

  • Nice! I really wanted to get a Ceriatone Hiwatt, (70's Hiwatt clone). I want that David Gilmour/ Pete Townsend sound without spending 5,000 on an amp, that i'l never be able to afford anyway, Can anyone speak to how good the Ceriatone hiwatt sounds compared to the old 70's Hiwatts>

  • @zutstrikeback From what i've heard they're pretty good. They are like real Hiwatts, relatively clean. A lot of volume to produce some breakup.

  • Nice. I really want to get the Ceriatone "Hey what?!" or 70s Hiwatt clone. I'm Going for that David Gilmour Pete Townsend sound with out spending the $5,000 for an amp, which i couild never afford, Can anyone out there speak to the quality of sound fo the Ceriatone Hiwatt and how it matches up to a 70's Hiwatt?

  • im looking to buy a new amp, i want a marshall sound without the price, and im convineced on buying a ceriatone amp kit . i play 70's, 80's rock ac/dc, guns n roses, van halen etc. can you get the marshal tone without having to crank it to 10 like a jtm45, or is it like a normal amp with gain and volume control. what volume level was this on when you done the demo?

great playing by the way excellent

  • @fordgtx193 Well...this amp is FAR from a stock ceriatone. I didn't use buy ceriatone's power and output transformes and choke. And I replaced the filter caps with better ones. So I really can't comment on a stock ceriatone one as I never played one that was fully created by ceriatone. Having said that, they are great platforms to improve on that's for sure! I'm VERY happy with the amp, but it wasn't cheap. This demo was pretty loud! :) But it sounds awesome at lower volumes.

  • @fordgtx193 it was loud! :)

  • @smp156 The amp sounds really good at all volumes....sounds best at the highest volumes obviously though!! If it were me, I'd get the 2555 honestly. Sounds the best in my opinion. The modifications weren't cheap. I bought the chassis only from Ceiratone fully wired w/o a output / power trannie as well as the choke. So, those were Mercury Magnetics. Those were around $550...fair amount of labor costs from Voodoo, but all was WELL worth it.

  • Very good sounding and you're a great player, congrats!

Could you be so kind to post more sounds of the 2555 in the stock sound mode, so that we could get a clearer idea how this Ceriatone sounds stock?

I'm thinking in buying one but I'm not sure how close does it sounds to a real Jubilee...

    Thanks!

  • @isfea Most of the tones were stock form. Really the only change is just the amount of low end that is rolled off and makes it a bit tighter. Sounds awesome both ways. I've owned 3-4 jubilees, and it definitely has the Jubilee vibe...but sounds a bit bigger and warmer and more clarity...most because of the PT / OT / choke from Mercury Magnetics

  • I got it too! Great sound, could you do a seperate vid of the Van Halen part (longer?)? \m/

  • That thing just smokes!!!! I have been thinking of doing the same thing (ie having Trace mod a ceriatone 2555). Do you mind me asking you how much for the mods??

I love JB and it really nails his sound, but also sounds like it would really be killer for some 80's Hair metal (Dokken,VH)...

  • Allow me to be the first and congratulate you on a fine vid and GREAT amp. Good playing and dynOmite tone to the bone. Adios, muchogarcias, Glen
