  • respect Alan Stivell

  • sounds like Geal from the last of the mohicans

  • yep

still have it on vinyl. This version feels more visceral, though. Production values? Tempo? Jethro Tull feel as pennywhistle and uileann pipes ? Nice kick in the heiny on the tail end, thanks to that last one.

  • muzyka super !!!

  • this is a wonderful piece. As a fan of Stivell's music who only speaks English, I would appreciate a translation of "Brezhoneg' Raok" so that I can perform it with proper understanding, having learned the words phonetically

  • Dope!!! its perfect!

  • Here is a music video that speaks to everyone, despite the barrier of language.

So what point are you dodo birds trying to make? Or are you just showing off your Xtreme Ignorance?

  • Couscous, baby?

  • How shocking !...

Do you really appreciate fried froggies ?!?!?....

    Ca me fait rire ...

  • @Lucievie In Bretagne, we eat langostines, crab, lobster and other fine foods from the sea.

    Eating frog legs is cruel....

  • So I do agree ...

I wanted to eat my dog, but no matter ...

    Amicalement

  • n' y a qu'un belge pour écrire ça....

  • Sensational !!!!!!!!!!!

  • realmente super. Musica celta a tope

  • THIS IS NOT FRANCE BUT BRITANNY

  • Real magic Bard-Power. Incredible.

  • Diese Lieder gefallen mir =) <3

  • wonderful ! vraiment magnifique

  • Che grande uomo e grande compositore

    peccato sia francese!!

  • Whenever I hear this song, I cry :*(. It reminds me of my first girlfriend and lover, who used to play this for me. She passed away so young, at only 45 years old. She loved beauty so much. I hope she is in a beautiful afterlife.

  • @Varangian1915

you are a happy man because your girlfriend played so magnifique song for you a day. remenber it and never forget these moments. be happy

  • @Varangian1915 she is in the celtic paradise with my loved brother

  • @Varangian1915

Your story ' s so poor than you make me cry also! So am I when I heard this marvellous song. Be sure your lover is now living a marvellous life; in a world none of us will ever know during our life. Be sure all my favorite thinks are with you. No people must have to live the sadness you lived!!!

  • @Varangian1915 I can tell you the best afterlife she wanted to be in, is inside your memories, my dear friend.

  • @Varangian1915 peace man... I hope she's in the afterlife you wish she's in!

how 4 people could dislike this is beyond me by the way.

I'm 20 and living in the center of France, i don't feel french but i feel celtic since i'm half from brittany... celtic culture for the win. Cheers!

  • @Varangian1915 Ben oui, sauf que ça c'est la suite IRLANDAISE ;) :D

    Breizh Atao quand même! ;)

  • @Varangian1915

It's about rebirth mate....hope your over it by now

    :)

  • Un des derniers grands Bardes Breton !

Un de mes maitres spirituel .

    Breizh atao !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Ma quante volte l'avro' ascoltata 30 anni fa???!!!

  • @giuliokenya .

Breiz

  • This is just utterly sublime...

  • Your english is fine ;) It's nice to see foreigners speaking French

    Breizh atao! Bonne journee :)

  • Yes, I always liked this. It gives a sense of old civilisation.

  • Wonderful indeed

  • stivell is a genius

  • Do you people know from which traditional song is the main melody?

  • I think the main melody is from the traditional song called " Drowsy Maggie"

  • The main melody is Morrison's Jig. That's 100%

  • Port Ui Mhuirgheasa. It's phenomenal.

  • Morrison's Jig, correct and sure, ^^

  • Morrison's Jig.

  • I bought his album "Renaissance of the Celtic

Harp" (the one with a picture of him and his harp, not the harp by itself) on iTunes, and this exerpt probably came from track five, "Gaeltaght" (18:45), a pretty lengthy suite of tunes from the gaelic countries. This seems like a refinement from that one, though, as it sounds a bit digitally enhanced, and has the edition of more modern and non-traditional instruments like the electric guitar.

  • yes, I prefer that original version. He went a bit electronic after that album. I've favourited it tho.

  • No words can express this...purely brilliant...thank you so much!

  • Wonderful music

  • so beautiful!

  • Trop belle
