i remember playing this...the campaign as the teutonic knights was my favorite... it sucks because i still have AoE 2 age of kings and the conquerors but AoE 2 age of kings doesnt work...so niether does the expansion

My opinions or feelings of the songs

1st = Your in the snow,gathering recources,and walking around.Its very windy.in the middle your chopping the wood.The ending is you slowly advancing to the fuedal age ;)

2nd = Imagining the future, in your tent you start to make plans.The middle is imagining your empire take steps to your goal.The end is when the dream is over,reality is coming.

3rd = your empire is growing step by step, units are training.The middle is your castle age.the end is "Its here"

I loved Age of Mythology and Age of Empires 3 when they came out but their campaigns were nothing in comparison to Age of Empires 2 campaigns. I played AOE2 when I was around 6-7 and I was able to impress the fuck out of people by quoting Shakespear's Henry V and just thinking it was from a video game. If only Age of Empires 3 campaign was more historical.

The oriental theme from 6:33 - 9:18 actually reminds me of the fall of the Roman Empire, as I first heard it on the Atilla campaign. The soft beat and the strings reminds me of the final days of an era and the mystical beginning of a new one, in my case leading to the evential age of the Mongols and the other Sino civilisations. It's my favourite, thanks for uploading this.

I've bought age of empires collector's edition and I haven't got background music with the conquerors. Has anyone else got this problem?

@MegaCrazydutchman YES! But I am not sure what the deal is or how to fix it. I think it may be only if you play it on a recent OS. do you also get problems displaying the grass?

@Gameguru667 I've bought the collectors edition from ubisoft, and sometimes the grass turns purple and the rest is al fizzy and stuf, if you go to your desktop and then back to the game, the problem's usually fixed. Still don't know how to get sound though :(

@MegaCrazydutchman Well I think the problem with audio is it reads it from the CD.. if you burn a CD with the tracks it should play. I don't get purple grass , I get red and green pixels, as if a resolution loss has occurred.. tried tabbing in and out but nada

if you bought the collectors edition on DVD, they didnt copy the audio over, theres a process they fudged up
