I concur with all comments made. For me, it was beyond nostalgia a feeling of embracing love, the past, and the outcome that is incontrollable. This is the reality of what occurs daily in life, all over in general, even in the present. The actors were all great , and surely this drama like many others from Korea has left an indelibe impression upon me. Two years have passed since I first, saw this drama, and still I kept visiting just to hear the theme songs.
@Honeyyy777 They could have married at one point - when Jang Bojo was running his own city and she was in the same city doing her own thing. But she chosed not to marry him. She felt that she would just bring him more pain. It might also have to do with her being sold into prostitution for a period of time. But she loved him and his love for her was incredible - I had hoped she would have married him ...If this was a true story then they would have met in a next life and gotten married !
on of the all the great dramas but you guys have to see Dae Jo Young also with Mr Choi soo Young and even better performance and twice as long and amazing drama but all he does is awesome
One of my all-time favorite dramas. Beautiful music, costumes, scenery, and excellent acting. Between the mix of it being historical and also a love story, it reminds me of the drama "Conspiracy in the Court", which was also gorgeous to watch but very sad. Would I watch this more than once? By all means, yes. It has been worth going to bed 2 hours late, just to stay up and watch this after midnight. Excellent drama.
@ jolson1933..i agreed with you. i was watching the ending and it was real sad because of the ending..everyone thought its was gonna be a happy ending its just just surprise me though....... nonetheless this is one of my fav drama off all, its great historical drama and i would love to watch it again.... peace out...........
am watching this video and remembering the ending was so sad..but that was why the drama was so good,,,not the typical Hollywood ending boy meets girl and gets girl. thanks an excellent drama and my feeling most of the credit goes to Mr. Choi Soo Jong-even though the entire cast was very good,as always the acting capability of Mr. CSJ outstanding-he need not say one word of dialog and we can understand his meanings-Great.
I love him! He's so good looking. I just love these series. Their love was amazing! It was sad that 2 guys were in love w/her but she could only love one back & was in love w/one only.
I am Filipino but I saw all 50+ episodes. It is something I recommend to better understand the feudal system pervading in those times. Beautiful, gripping and romantic .... every episode is a movie in itself. The End devastated me for days!
How can I get to see the rest of this series? I have seen the episodes up to 16 but want to know how can I get the videos to the rest. I am aware of the sad endind to the story but know very well that the reality of history does not fair well with what we want the outcome to be. It's really nervy beacuse true stories never always end as most of us would wish because history has already dictates their outcome. That to me is standard of what superb drama ought to be: A true reflection of life.

I cried for an hour after the ending.
I wanted Jung bogo and that chirian girl to go together.
But at the same time I really liked jung hwa :(
I HATEED THE ENDING :[[ WHY DID THEY DIE.

I am Filipino but I saw all 50+ episodes. It is something I recommend to better understand the feudal system pervading in those times. Beautiful, gripping and romantic .... every episode is a movie in itself. The End devastated me for days!
