  • the verge feels very contrived

  • What a slap in the face to Matias "can someone grab this iPad" "do you want your macbook air?"

  • longest video I've seen on YouTube and it was worth it

  • Motherfucker have no idea about anyfucking little thing about android apps!!

  • I love Josh because his interviews are really tough. And Matias has come back a couple of times which makes me respect him more. In case your reading this Matias, ICS is amazing, good job!!

  • Why not start a "Google Seal of Quality" badge you award manufacturers like Nintendo used to do in the SNES days?

  • Always happy to see Matias, speaks without saying only bs like schmidt can do !

I am a bit surprised though that they didn't mentionned "fragments" which is an api aiming to have this cohesive feel in the ui of ICS !

Oh, and Josh is awesome as always :)

  • I really hate being a troll but Matias is a lame dude

  • @mil0ny OEMs probably don't want to rush out incomplete products. ICS has a whole new look, so the OEM UIs have to be completely redesigned, that takes time. I bet at MWC there will be tons of ICS phones.

  • Josh asks questions that are exactly similar to what most of us have in our minds.. That's where is excels compared to other journalists.. Excellent work, Josh.. :)

  • Good interview. He's a good speaker. Even the tough questions he seem to answer honestly. The Verge interviews him a lot

  • @mil0ny Its not up to Google, its up to manufacturers to clean Android mess up by updating fast when ICS is released. So don't blame matias or Google, Google has been working very hard to sort out their messy ecosystem but stupid manufactures take too long to update devices. Because Android is open, and you have to live with that if you got a costom android device. Thats how it is in the android ecosystem.

  • wow 35 minute review

  • Matias is awesome, but god dammit: He always wears some really ugly shirts.

  • Matias Duarte is the new Steve Jobs.

  • I think Matias just wears the most ridiculous shirts on purpose hahah

  • I wouldn't trust a designer with such ugly shirts

  • I mean this is incredible. Even after Steve has long gone, there are people adapting his philosophies. It's amazing, from the death of flash, to the fragmentation issues, to standardized look and feel to a UI or platform, he was right about everything. Hats off Steve.

  • Duarte is awesome, much unlike 360p.

  • Forget Android's style guide.

    Who dresses-up Matias!?

  • Making android beautiful

  • Great stuff. The style guide is really positive. hopefully we can get to a punt where a basic app just looks good. If people want to experiment then that's great, but the building blocks are now here for developers who aren't looking to create their own unique interface

  • Why are they only getting around this now?

  • the video is grey dark or something along those lines. fuzzy.

  • Matias is Chilean.

  • For a guy that works with design, he wears the strangest shirts. Remember the super gaudy white suit at the Galaxy Nexus event? Lol.

  • Style guides... Well thats what we all learned at interaction design college right lol.. Glad Google is being more clear about this, the consistency will benefit the Android experience!

  • Viewing the Android Design style guide site really shows off how beautiful Android is and I've never used an Android phone. I have an iPhone.

  • Can't wait for the GNex for Sprint, then I'm gonna start developing apps as well. Love where Android is going. Thanks Matias.

  • When will my Droid RAZR get ICS?! Its been 6 weeks :(!
