Let me tell the world something, whoever voted scotty to win you must not know what true vocal talent is bc james can sing any genre but can scotty sing anything other than country? Country is like the easiest genre to sing james proved that he could easily sing it when him and scotty sand "start a band" on AI and prolly sang it better than scotty but can scotty sing any of james durbins songs and also have good vocal range like james? Just somethin for you scotty fans to think about

He's not contracionally obligated to do what American Idol wants and whatever they say goes. James can do his thing on his own without AI telling him otherwise. be gratefull for that. Voters did us a favor

@Epica124 i at least thought he would do more, maybe Maiden-influenced or Judas Priest-influenced. At least classic metal. Hard rock is all fine but the 2 singles are too commercialized to me. About selling well, like seriously? Of course it will. Maiden's The Final Frontier reached the Top 10 charts everywhere.

I wish it could be heavier than the traditional 80's american metal bands. Lots of hooks and melodies , which is good, I just wanted to listen to agressive faster than light riffs and double bass from hell.

@Phabarata1 So you want to hear the genres of either Power, Prog, Melodic Death, or Gothic metal. Those don't sell well in the USA at all. The reason is becasue they are far heavier then the hair metal bands. James as good as he is is a hard rock guy not a metal guy. There is nothing wrong with hard rock but hard rock will never be metal.
