My name's Judy , also, as I tell everyone I turned him down, NOT EVEN IN MY DREAMS, AND MARRIED MY HUSBAND OF ALMOST 44 YEARS IN APRIL,1967, AFTER I TURNED ELVIS DOWN HE MARRIED PRISCELLA 1 WEEK LATER . NEEDLESS TO SAY I LOVE THIS SONG. AND IT IS A GREAT VIDEO!!
My name is Judy & Elvis was only 5 years older than me so he was my sweetheart from the time I knew he existed. Went to every movie & had all the 45's and anything of ELvis's I could buy with my allowance. Wore my poodle shirts to every movie. Then I grew older and it was cassettes , &now CD'S and copies of all his movies I have it all. Even my liscense plate is OH ELVIS> to this day I have always loved Elvis & always will. This song is just so special to me. TKS for having it on here.
I HAVE THE ALBUM. BOUGHT IT BACK IN 61. IT IS ONE OF HIS BEST. CHECK OUT CHRIS ISAACS. HE DOES A VERISON LIVE. CHRIS DOES ELVIS SONGS AND REALLY DOESN'T CARE ABOUT CRITICS. THANKS.
Its a shame that many great Elvis songs were hidden away on B sides !IMO a better song than the A side ! I thought that many Elvis B sides were better than the A sides ! Certainly thought that RCA goofed up a good few times on that score . Again , another Elvis song that is probably not known outside of the fan base !!
@CEShook I have the album....a 33 1/3 LP. They called it the rhythm side on the cover....or side 2 on the actual LP. The LP (33 1/3 version) is called "Something for Everyone". Lots of really good stuff on that one although it is not widely known. The Rhythm side (side 2) has lots of good old Jiving tunes....if you know what I mean but, to know what I mean you would have to have been a teenager in the 60's. :)
I would like to dedicate this song to my good friend and co worker of over 15 yrs- Judy- who passed away Sept 4th. She couldn't believe and didn't know Elvis had sung a song especially for her !!LOL Rest in peace dear friend.
What inspirational music. What a voice. What style. Such singing from the heart and soul. What natural presentation. Has anyone done it any better since the Great One's passing? --Elvis The Great--.
This must be one of Elvis best records? Wounderful! I love it very much! And of course near all of the records with Elvis! But not from his last time, before he died. I was just sorry to se him like that. But he was the KING and will always be!!!!
In my opinion ,songs like this, and many of his others, are just as much the epitome of presley as the obvious songs are. Its such a shame ,that these songs never get any radio time!!
This wonderful song is on a box set. Elvis From Nashville to Memphis: The Essential 60's Masters I. Wonderful song sang by a wonderful man, Elvis. I love Elvis.
This was recorded during an all night studio recording session on March 12 - 13,1961 and released on the LP Album " Something for Everbody " The Essential 60's Masters was not released untill1972
" Judy " was on a Single LP Album, of which I own. I have ALL of the original RCA LP albums ever released and I bought each of them as soon as they came out . The Boxed set of the 60's Masters was a CD set of all the Hit Songs released during the 60's by Elvis, of which I also own.
Thank you that's wonderful...now I can find a copy for Christmas. Every year there is something under the tree for me that;s 'Elvis' : ) and I love discovering things I have not seen or heard before, it's like rediscovering him all over.
Can there be anyone more beautiful, more talented? I sure miss him :)
Since 20 years I was looking for this marvellous song. Nobody of my friend did know him. I loved it always. For me one of the best songs of Elvis. He run in th old Wurlitzer Juke boxes
Elvis recorded is March 13, 1961 at RCA's Nashville studios. The single was not released until 1967, and it had a 5-week stay on Billboard's Hot 100 chart, peaking at #78. It was the B-side to There's Always Me. It is available on the Something for Everybody CD; From Nashville to Memphis-The Essential 60s Masters, and Artist of the Century, which is where this version is from.
I had forgotten about this song, and loved hearing it here again. He's the best that ever was and ever will be and can't believe he would have been 74 in 2 days.
