Thusly, the constitutional requirement for the levying of a charge of Treason is met. These people can be under US law, arrested, charged and convicted of Treason in a courtroom. There's no defense for them against it.

What these socialists want to call "protectionism" as if spitting the term, is what the founders designed as a protection against our enemies trying to scuttle our economy via dumping. You dump cheap goods on a market that they cannot compete with, run the people out of their own market and when they no longer have jobs, they also have no incomes to tax and generate weapons of war to defend themselves with. At that point, enemies can take you over without firing a shot. National security 101.

Free trade is the economic policy used by King George to try to divest colonial america of it's growing wealth. The colonists understood that if they bought the cheap English goods, they'd be buying their own economic ruin. This is why when George removed all taxation from british goods to the colonies, the colonists protested and dumped those goods into the sea. Free trade was the final cause of the Revolution. And it's the reason our founders required taxes on imports to fund the govt.

These people need a lesson in economics. Number one there is no trade deficit. It's a name these types of people put on what morons believe is a discrepancy in trade between countries. When we buy things we exchange MONEY for goods. Money is a representation of goods and services. So we have exchanged a billion dollars worth of goods for a billion dollars of meaningless paper. That would be excellent for us.. if the money was worthless. But it's not. That money has value, it has value here...
