That gun would have more effect on an assailant if you were to throw it at them or strike them over the head! (or to drive around with yer home boys loaded in a case before you even get to the range( Maybe then it will kill or teach the owner a lesson.
BAD gun safety! No eyes or ears on, waving the gun around like a kid playing with an airsoft pistol, not removing the magazine or clearing the chamber after firing... if that's how your regard a live firearm perhaps you are better off without one. That's some scary stuff right there...
If $200 is all you can afford and will afford in the foreseeable future, that can get a CZ-52, a PA-63, a Hi Point or S&W Model 10, all of which is better than that Bryco/Jennings/Jimenez Will you see these weapons in tatical traning or in the hands of professionals or in the hands of those who can afford better? No. Do they do their job as intended with an acceptable margin of safety and reliabilty and inexpensively? Yes.
the remmington ammo hollow points arent bad for this gun. If I shoot the winchester nato 9's out of it, it will jam. Its just shitty ammo. $13 for 50 rds of 9mm is dirt cheap. Why you have that gun in that case is beyond me. Probably need to clean it as well.
I have 1 and the shit sucks so bad, I can't get rid of it! lol...pawn shop wouldn't take the shit and I can't sell it to nobody either! you would be better throwing a rock at somebody...lol.
@georgiaboyy2g best thing you can do with it take a saw with a metal cutting blade to it, cut it in half so it can't hurt anyone else, throw it in the trash and chalk it up as a lesson learned. Now, if you need a gun that is inexpensive, know that it will be minimum a $250 and more like $300+ proposition. I'm not saying buy SIG, Glock, Beretta, H&K, etc. If you want a gun from a reputable, first class manufacturer it will be at least $250-$300+ affair, even used.
@georgiaboyy2g If that is not an option, there are guns from the former Soviet Bloc, (ie: Makarovs, PA-63s, CZ-52s CZ-82/83s, Tokarevs, Polish P-64s and P-83s) the are without question fine weapons and often will be less than what I stated. The downside is, ammo for them (9x18 Makarov or 7.62 Tokarev) can't be found at Walmart and some local gun stores might not stock it, leaving you to order it online. If this is not an issue for you, that is an alternative.
This was my first gun I had.Had the same problems everyone else did. I wrote the manufacturer for a refund and they had no problem of giving it to me.Ill give them that much credit.Used that money to get a used G17.I would have to say the jennings looks better than a hi point.
the firing pin and the takedown button broke on it, it has to be replace, not too expensive, it really likes remmington ammunition, and we'll make a vid after it's fixed
back in the hi point wasnt around yes they are better guns for today im getting a hi point soon shot a few i love em but i would still have the bryco then nothing even if it popped once that might be the pop that worked
mines jammed the first time i shot it but after switching to hollow tips it never jammed, but i had a couple other problems like the orange piece in the back popped out
Other then the horrible accuracy and occasional jamming i love them. They hold down paper really well. J/k They are alright you get what you pay for something that will protect you in a pinch what do you expect for a gun you can easily get for a 100 bucks or less.
i also have this jenning 9mm and i don't know if u guys have problem with the trigger but mine do...it just wont shoot at all...any advice of what it is???
I have heard if you take it to a gun smith, they can file down some of the cookie cutter parts and make it shoot well w/o a jam. But it still will have no accuracy past 5-10 yards. Your rite, better than nothing!
I have the same gun in black. It sucks. I laughed when i watched this video. Mine jams and hurts your hand when shooting it also. I used cci rounds and thought that mite of been the reason for jamming. I see this guy was using windchester and still having issues. I keep this in the house for a little security, but i wouldnt bring it to a range or want to use it in a stand off. Junk
was it even empty lol the slide wasnt locked back after the last round lol or does it even have a last round slide stay open and im wonering wht is better as a sheap shoot around plinker the jiminez ja-9 or the hi-point c9 or hi-point 40 which shoots better and is more reliable the jiminez or the hi-point which is made better or jus to make it easy which is all around a better made better shooting pistol whcih dosnt jam alot which both prolly do but which 1 does less i would like to no thanks ..
The only reason people purchase this gun is because it's cheap! If you must by a cheap gun Hi-Point firearms are inexpensive and much more reliable then this piece of shit.
@mirjilon99 That or guns from the former Soviet bloc, (ie: Makarovs, PA-63s, CZ-52s, CZ-82/83s Tokarevs, P-64s) You even might find some surplus Walther P1/P38s Hi Powers, S&W Model 10s S&W 5904/5906s, 4006s 6904/6906s, Ruger P85/P89s and even 1st and 2nd Generation Glocks, sans the rails for not a lot of money. $350 at most. Before one even considers a Jennings/Bryco/Jimenez, do some shopping around first.
Most indoor ranges will not let you shoot a Jennings and for good reason. I witnessed first hand just how dangerous these guns are at an outdoor range, the man next to me could not get 3 rounds off without a jam, he then put the gun down and when he picked it back up and racked the slide it discharged! Jennings weapons should be outlawed!
These guns have been known to field strip themselves by exploding. Jennings suck big time. get your self a much better quality gun but still cheap but reliable like taurus for example.
I remember when I took my ccw class some kid had one of these, actually it was a jimanez, but the instructor really gave him hell for bringing such a crappy firearm to class. He told him to take a hammer to it, watch it shatter then go buy a new handgun.
I own one of these and I have to say it is the worst gun I have ever shot, besides the lorcin .380. It has horrible accuracy beyond 10 yards, bad fire rate due to the trigger reset, a very heavy trigger, weighs more than any other 9mm I have held, and nobody wants to buy it from me. On the good side, it hasn't misfired once since break-in and I have put about 1200 rounds through it.
Ya, thats right! What about it? Still a lot of deaths in countries that have a ban on guns like Britain and Austrailia. So I guess I am trying to figure out why, if there is a ban then how are people still getting killed? Hmmmm.....?
Americans love guns, Americans love freedom, Americans would like to keep their freedom...that is why we love guns so much. Ever heard of the revolutionary war? Read up on it. It is a little interesting.
wow why the thumbs down this is a very good comment! people who buy guns legal not off the streets! are not the ones guilty of deaths! its the people who have stolen weapons or dirty guns that do such crimes not many legal gun owners have been charged with horrible crimes!! so before you give Mike4258 a thumbs down think about it! if you were going to rob someone or kill them would you go buy a gun from a gun shop give them your name ss number and life history then do it ??? i dont think so!
not true my friend any place that sells weapons even walmart!! make you go thru a Background check however they can do them instant now but you get turned down even if you have the slightest mark on your record other then a traffic violation!! and just for the record most gun deaths our from dirty guns off the street not hard working people that purchase them legally! each gun has been test fired by the company that made them and a balistic marker is placed in the FBI data base!
you have to pass a back round check, (no felonies etc no clinically insane etc). and for a pistol its the same deal except you have to wait 3 days to pick it up
no your wrong i have my CCW and ive been gun owner for years and have purchased around 20 some odd firearms they run a instant background check in ohio and some other states as well there is no waiting period unless you have a bad record then you have to wait for clearence!!!!
@AkJay42 Sometimes they delay you if you have the same name as someone who does have a bad record. Happens to me all the time and I've not done anything short of speeding tickets in my life and I have a CCW in VA and a security clearance.
@Deathcheese123 Not quite. You have show ID, go through a background check to see if you are a convicted felon or one who has been declared mentally incompetent and maybe a waiting period depending on what state you are in. Some states have the waiting period, some don't. Beyond the federal background check, each state has its own laws regarding firearms sales. Which also has to be followed.
thats like saying you want to buy a golf kart and make it drive like a corvette. you cant make an unreliable shitty gun into a nice one. and if you could it would be cheaper to just buy the nice gun. just do your research and save your money for the gun you really want. i trust my life to h&k. but i still appreciate a cheap gun to play and plink with, just dont evr expect it to work when you need it. that would be silly.
very true man!! i have a jennings 22 for a rang toy! but my every day carry is a Kahr or my S&W if your looking for a good lower priced pistol that is reliable try Taurus or Charter Arms
lol nice, this isnt my gun, its my bro's we are gunna make more gun videos here in the next 4 months or so, but we'll have an AK47 and probably 22's also

Step 1: Buy a Jennings/Bryco/Jimenez
Step 2: File the feed ramp so you can eject an empty magazine and cure FTF!!
Step 3: ?????
Step 4: PROFIT!!!(or fail terribly)
